I was playing Halo 5 earlier and I thought to myself how do the Spartans trigger their abilities like thrust and ground pound etc.
Things like clamber and sprint are pretty obvious but what about thruster pack, Spartan charge, ground pound and stabilize? I mean we just click a button on our controller and bam it does that, but the Spartans don’t have a controller in their hands running around the battlefield.
So how do they actually do these abilities, I have no clue.
It probably has something to do with the neural implant’s link to the armor.

But in all seriousness its probably controlled mentally threw the neural link.

Maybe a mixture of both if I had to guess. There’s definantly a mental component to do with it though.

On a recon mission…its night and a single spartan is sneaking through a mountain to get the drop on some grunts. As he approaches a ledge he leaps off and triggers his ground pound while yelling “GRRRRROOOOOUUUUNNNDDDD PPPPOOOOUUUUNNNDDD” into the night. The grunts never saw it coming.
Well as everyone has stated, due to their neural link with their armor.
To be precise, their bodies do not move their armor, their MIND does. their body goes with it, but thats why only augmented humans(ok now i thought of Deus ex due to that wording, lol) can wear armor. Only their bodies can physically deal with the armors movement speed and strength. So since every movement is due to their mind, not body wanting to do a spartan ability is literally just thinking about doing it and it happens.
That is, assuming Power Armor Tech didn’t change from the Mark IV control system.
