How do players insta-kill the Grunt Goblin

I trying to learn how to kill the Grunt Goblins fast. I saw someone on my team shot the grunt and it exploded even though it have around 50%-75% Health.

How did they do it? I shot a goblin with the binary rifle, in the shield part ,on Apex but it didnt explode.

I believe if you concentrate fire on the glass and pop it off, you can one shot the grunt

Check the game in theater to see if somebody popped the shield and killed the grunt inside. That would definitely get the job done.
