How do people still defend Halo 4?

Before release all these people (me included) tried to tell everyone how bad it was going to be, that the online population will die, that the armor abilities weren’t any better and should just be removed, that sprint and jetpack would still ruin map design and flow, that no real competitive skill ranking was a horrible choice. Statistics showed we were right, population dwindled, Halo 4 became known as the worst Halo ever. Yet people still defend against people hating on Halo 4, they aren’t even being hyperbolic, the game literally is that bad. It isn’t even up to subjectivity anymore when everything points to Halo 4 being worse than -Yoink!-.

Remove Halo 4 from the MCC.

There are many things I don’t like regarding Halo 4 matchmaking, and you listed a big portion of them, but I don’t see why it should be removed from the MCC. If you don’t like, don’t play it, as I will probably do.

Problem is I don’t want to be forced to play even .2 miliseconds of Halo 4, some 12 year olds who like stupid armor abilities might be in a full party all voting Halo 4 in one of the mixed playlists. Game should just be removed since it’s unplayable unless you’re literally mentally handicapped and actually somehow enjoy it, either that or add it into the Call of Duty Collection with all the CoD games that will come out one day.

Solution: Don’t play cross-game playlists that include Halo 4. Some people like it, shocking right?

Made me smile, but The Little Moa is right. We will have Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 2A dedicated playlists, in addition to (probably) the Team Hardcore playlist if you want to avoid Halo 4 at any cost. Seems reasonable to me.

It actually is shocking, like go get a CT scan on the brain shocking.

Good thing there is competitive skill ranking across the board now.

> Statistics showed we were right, population dwindled, Halo 4 became known as the worst Halo ever.

Well, that’s completely a matter of opinion. I still maintain that Reach is the worst, as do many others. Multiplayer isn’t the only part of a game.

> Yet people still defend against people hating on Halo 4, they aren’t even being hyperbolic, the game literally is that bad.

Wow! Look! It’s those opinion things again!

> Remove Halo 4 from the MCC.

You have yet to give an actual reason for why this should happen. All you said was that you didn’t like the game. Instead, try something like how the Collection won’t improve Halo 4 enough, or how Halo 4 will negatively impact the population (somehow), or just something you can support with more than mere opinions.

I like Halo 4. I don’t need to defend it. I believe that re-balanced, all-dlc included, steady 60fps game will defend itself.

Numbers aren’t opinions.

Well, if you go into a mixed playlist that clearly includes Halo 4 and expect not to play Halo 4 on occasion… I don’t know what to say.

Hold on… let’s look at your completely professional and respectful word choice for a second.

> It isn’t even up to subjectivity anymore when everything points to Halo 4 being worse than -Yoink!-.

Besides the absurd statement that it is fact that Halo 4 is bad… -Yoink!-? You’re conparing a video game to the man who led the slaughter of millions and a brutal war that killed millions more? Just think about that for a second.

Now you’re comparing people who have an opinion… a trait that is a part of every human, mind you… to those with an unfortunate mental illness that is not something you should just throw around casually. Did you even read what you wrote before posting or did you come with the intention of looking like a total -Yoink!- and having all the respect for your argument diminished within two sentences?

I actually don’t really expect to play it on occasion, since far more people prefer the other 3 over Halo 4, but one game might have too many CoD players in it and BAM!

343i killed millions of fans dreams with Halo 4. Quality that has also been seen in -Yoink!-.

NOBODY still has given a reason why they defend Halo 4, yet I’ve given plenty of reasons why you shouldn’t.

I think this makes the list of the most ridiculous posts I have seen on this forum. You are comparing a game to a man who murdered hundreds of thousands of people? I respect peoples opinion and their right to share it, but that is just way over the top dude

Bit late to be asking this now, don’t you think? Considering it launches in less than a month. I f you don’t like that part of the game, you don’t have to play it.

edit
Killing a dream relates in no way whatsoever to the taking of a life. I honestly don’t know how you can compare the 2…

Why is halowaypoint turning into bungie.net? Is it because of IGN announcements?

Because it’s a good game.

Halo 4 is a part of the Master Chief’s canon, therefore it has a place in the MCC. I admit that it certainly isn’t my favourite Halo game, but it has very solid gameplay and is very much enjoyable. There’s nothing on the disc stating that you HAVE to play Halo 4…

With comments like that, I find it very ironic he’s accusing other people of being ‘kids’. Very harsh language being tossed around for little reason, I’d just report and move on.

Uhhhhh screw that. I play games for the CAMPAIGN and halo 4 had a GREAT campaign so yeah…no.

I’ve been banned on this forum probably around a hundred times before Halo 4 was even out, that’s why I have this gamertag. You used to get banned just for hating hard enough on Halo 4 before it was released, turns out all us similar people were right.

People buy campaign to play only a few times, it’s irrelevant, multiplayer is what you continue to play after and what matters.
