How do people feel about Chiefs new look?

The title says it all, does the community like the changes chief has physically gone through? Also this isn’t a thread discussing how these changes happened, just the communities overall opinions on how the armor looks.

Halo 3 comparison to Halo 4:

While its slightly bulkier and chunkier, and not as smooth… I like the new art style.

I like it personally because Halo 4 is evolving and that new look is great for the Chief.

I think it looks amazing. Only thing I don’t like is the slight change in the helmet, the visor kind of looks shorter

i LOVE it its way more detailed and purdy lol

> I think it looks amazing. Only thing I don’t like is the slight change in the helmet, the visor kind of looks shorter

I know exactly what your saying, thats the one thing im a little iffy about… it dosn’t seem right yet. It could change though, the anniversary helmet changed and 343 said everything we have seen is subject to change.

I wish we could just have Mark VI again, that would be better.

I think, in HALO 4, he look’s EPIC!
And moore BADA$$ than H3…

To be honest, I preferred Halo 3’s model more.
In Halo 4, he just looks to big and clunky.
He doesn’t look like Master Chief.

I don’t think they should have changed his look.
But regardless, they did, and I’m hoping for damn good explanation.

But that’s just my opinion.

> I wish we could just have Mark VI again, that would be better.

For all we know, it is Mk. 6. We won’t know for sure until the game comes out or 343 tells us for sure what his armor is.

Either way, I like the new look too. I like the helmet too. I see what you mean about the visor, but it looks like only a very slight change in size.

There must’ve been a whole lot of KFC in that cryo chamber 'cause the Chief’s gained some weight lol.

I like the style, I just wish that 343 would slim it down a little bit.

I think so…

I completely understand where the artists have taken it with making him look like a cross between a fighter jet and an tank etc with the modernised slight angles here and there (The arched pieces on the back of his shoulders just look like pieces of engine fuselage to me, which being an aircraft tech I LOVE) and showing off his underlayer a bit more especially around the hands so he LOOKS like he’s wearing a highly advanced peice of hardware that not only looks deadly and badass, but also looks A LOT more functional too!

“Come at me bro…I make this look good.”

The only thing I have an eeeever so slight gripe about, and I mean so minimal it’s probably not really worth a mention…but it’s the visor… I just want it to take up more of his helmet like the Mk.V & VI did… I don’t know why, I just slightly preferred that to this iteration…but like I said, this time around he really does LOOK like a well-seasoned badass! =D

… It actually gets me wondering now I think about it, if they’re visibly beefing up the armour to create/emphasise the whole “Hard on the outside, but soft-ish on the inside” thing…making him look more badass and putting in what looks like alot more action like we’d expect from a veteran 1.5 tonne supersoldier to contrast going into his human side in the story.

If so…I like it…I like it alot.

I like Halo 3’s better.

4’s looks overall more bulky (which I’m not a fan of), and the thrusters in the back are just too big. It’s funny, they said they wanted it to look like he had more functionality, but all I see is bigger more restricting pieces of armor.
