To play a match that is usually 8-12 minutes long and not register a kill or at least go horribly negative (i.e. 3 kills 16 deaths) is beyond me. Yes, I’ve had games like that in the past, but those are few and seldom in between. I had an acceptable 1.8 K/D in Halo 4 and Reach, hoping to get there eventually (sitting at 1.4). Now, there’s people who REGULARLY go 0.25-0.5 k/d per match.
is the game even fun anymore? Yes, I enjoy having fun and messing around, but usually there’s a correlation for me that usually winning also means you’re having fun. Not to sound like a try hard, but I never understood people who play multiplayer that are bad at the game. I played a double team game, I went 22-12 and my teammate went 0-13. We lost. He was a kid, so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, but to not have the motor skills to aim and press down on a trigger doesn’t make sense. Hell, I was playing Doom on PC when I was like 6-7 years old.
idk, I know this sounds very rant-ish right now, but there should be an unranked playlist, let the newcomers/poorly skilled people play there? Leave ranked to more competent players? Why is there no unranked mode? There has been one in every past Halo, no?
You know I put the match before stopping for the night , and some players will be upset that my skill level is not at theirs. From running on the map and figuring out the controls and the strategies for breakout. However, unlike some players I don’t have all day to play and practice and perfect my ability, plus I the system up on Saturday. However, there are individuals that are very good and play very little. Perhaps they are better and is fine too. My kill death ratio is low and will probably be low for a while until I bring my skills up to par. There’s always people who are angry in anything. It’s best just not to play with those people, so I don’t. I guess what I’m saying is somehow there are players that take some time, but some how not bing good is not fun to most.
I stopped reading after the first paragraph. Was about to give out then decided to read the whole thing. And I’m here now to still give out.
You played Reach and 4 so you have a fair amount of experience. Keep in mind that this is the first Halo for many newcomers, even influencing people to choose an Xbox over Playstation.
I found in Arena once you play your first 10 matches and place into a tier it levels out a bit, certainly after a few placed games I found it became very balanced. But I know in some playlists the ranking is different and many poorer players are placing into higher tiers where they cannot compete.
As for playing in Warzone I lost 4/5 previous games on it purely down to my bad team mates who made no contributions to the game at all, and it was infuriating.
Is this about wanting a playlist with no visible rank, or is this about gamers who get exposed to a competitive shooter before they have gained the hand/eye coordination for it?
I don’t mind killing noobs. If everyone was above average, everyone’s K/D would be lower and maybe not as fun. The noobs keeps people playing COD anyway haha!
I used to be pretty good myself while in college on CE and H2 but drifted to Gears 2 and MW2 during Halo 3. Now, my trigger hand gets sore, reaction/awareness is worse, and I don’t know if it’s the controller but I can’t control the aim as well while moving. Oh well. Halo 5 still the most fun I’ve had since Halo 2.

Well I played good in Halo 4 because of Reach.
I played alright in Reach because of H3.
I played decent in H3 because of Halo 2.
I played above average in Halo 2 because of Halo CE.
I did ok in Halo CE because it wasn’t hard to learn?

That’s nice mate. Lovely cheeky “:D” in there too but they’re completely different games haha. Did you get legit pwning all the n00bs in CE Team Slayer playlist? Spa
The dual stick is hard for people who have never encountered it before. I wasn’t very good when I first played Halo (I started with Halo 3), but I got good by practicing with Halo: Reach Firefight. I’m not very good at Halo 5: Guardians because I think they made the game harder, but I’m getting better. I understand your frustration with team members that flat out suck at the game, but everyone is born with different talents and weaknesses and we just have to deal with each other.
I’m decent, I have a k/d ratio of 2.8. but I keep getting put on teams that just don’t know how to logically play. they’ll run after the person trying to malee them rather than shooting them because it’s the cooler way to kill someone when it could of been easier just to shoot them.

2.8 =/= 1.13
My k/d ratio is atrocious and I’m one of the players the OP is complaining about. But during a game I get alot of assists, base captures, stronghold captures/defense, flag captures, AI boss kills…you get the idea. I have alot of fun playing Halo 5’s MP, more fun than I’ve had in a Halo MP possibly ever. So in a game of slayer, I’m next to useless but in other game types, I might be a useful guy to have on your team
