Hey I was wondering if someone could help me. I preordered the limited collectors edition from GameStop and I’m getting the digital code not the disc. Now, how in the world do I preload the game? Can someone please help? I really want to be able to play as soon as I get home from the midnight launch event. Thanks.
If you don’t intend to do the trade in to get the disc, just redeem the code that comes with your package. You should be able to start pre-loading shortly after that.The Day 1 update can be pre-loaded starting the 22nd

So when I go to gamestop sometime this week they’ll give me a code to preload Halo 5?
Yeah, you’ll open your case, there’ll be a card inside, it’ll have a code printed on it, enter it, and the game will begin installing. It should be in the tin case.
EDIT: Apparently it’s printed on your receipt, so make sure you keep it somewhere safe until you enter the code.

As soon as you enter the code, the game downloads so it’s ready right at midnight.
The code on the receipt is for DLC
The game case has a card in it, on the back you will see a big silver box. Use a coin to scratch away the silver to reveal the code. Enter the code for the halo 5 pre-load.
On the 22nd, an update will be released for Halo 5. Idk how to get it yet but im assuming just open up halo 5 and it will start.

No you dont understand. The code is either on your reciept from preordering or on a card in your LCE. You enter said code and your download starts. If you havnt recieved your LCE then you have to wait until you get it

I went to GameStop yesterday and they told me that they didn’t have a code to give me. The employees there aren’t the greatest so do I go back there and tell them to give me a code?

Lol I live in Florida too, know what you mean. Yes they are supposed to give it to you, especially since you got the digital code edition.
If you preordered the LCE then you should collect it from the store, go home, enter the code, and download it prior to launch on the 27th.
unless you enter the code you cant preload it.
