How do I post links?

I tried to post a halo related image from another site, but the problem is I’d never done it before so I don’t know how those link post stuff really works. I know there’s those little icons for user link and insert/edit link in the comment box as we type, but the little URL thing kinda threw me off; in other words, I don’t really know what to type in the URL for it to work properly. So if any of you know how it works, please let me know. Thanks.

You see the chain button on the bar above the post. That enables you to post a link.
“URL” is the www.website.com that is the top of the page you wanna link. Pretty much copy that and put it into that box.
“Text to display” is the text that shows instead of the link. So if you wanted to describe your link you can do that

Alternatively you can put(note at the start put “[url”, aka remove the space) Source text: [ url=www.websitehere.com]Text you wanna use
Example if space is removed: Text you wanna use

You do indeed ‘rank up’ in the forums by posting, but please be mindful of our rules on spamming though. That includes posting multiple times in a row :slight_smile:
