How do i play on the new maps? I never get them on matching making.
Yes. This is a known issue. I myself seem to never play the DLC maps. As for playing on them, just play Slayer and vote for one when they pop up.

We are all still waiting for an all dlc map pack playlist…
Do you reckon it will be soon or are 343 kinda slow?
At this point all you can do is hope beyond hope that everyone in the lobby has the maps and they appear as a voting option
I feel for you guys. The Reach map packs almost never got played. 
That being said, please never play with me, since I don’t have them. This optional map pack system is stupid when they don’t give you a playlist to play your map packs with.
lol you fell for it too, the truth is you don’t get to play them. Even when you finally get one in the voting selection, everyone votes haven, exile (depends on game size) or quits right away.
But really, an all dlc playlist (including community forge varients) is about the only thing that could bring me to put halo 4 back into my xbox. I am beyond tired of haven and despise every single person who votes haven.
343 kinda scammed us on that, the pops already low why not just make the dlc free to play? I know that’s stupid but it would offer more map variety, barely anyones playing this game anymore

That was because of 343i taking out DLC playlist, not Bungie. I remember a lot of playtime on Noble and Defiant(probably spell wrong) because Bungie always keep those playlist available.
I wish I would have never bought any of the Halo 4 DLC, that’s how little I see the maps in MM.

I think I’ve said this to you in various other threads rearding this issue, but I will say it again in case you forgot and so other people will know.
An ALL DLC playlist is impossible to make because the DLC maps all require different team sizes. Because of the BTB maps in both the Crimson and Castle map packs, the minimum team size for an all DLC playlist would have to be 6v6. This wont happen because the Majestic and Champions maps are made for 4v4 or FFA gametypes. You CANNOT play 6v6, 7v7 or 8v8 on maps designed for 4v4 or FFA play as they are too small, the game would be uplayable (spawn camping/killing) and wont properly accommodate 2 teams of 8.
And before anyone says “just make 2 playlists, 1 for 4v4 and the other for BTB”, there isn’t enough hopper space in the matchmaking server to do this, not to mention that the population would be divided even further than it already is which causes longer search times in the playlists. Plus its a known fact that DLC playlists are hardly ever populated after the initial release of each map pack, and as such 343 removes them, as they are considered dead and take up space that could be used to improve matchmaking quality.

That’s 252 games, played 1637 total, played haven 253 times lolololol
I garuntee most of these came from each dlc playlist when they first launched, forge island is mainly flood

Unfortunately you already paid for the maps. 343 no longer cares about you as a customer. You’ll have to learn to live with never playing the maps you paid for, the same way we all have to live with never getting a decent multiplayer match in the game we all bought. This is what happens when you let amateurs take over one of the greatest game franchises ever… they twist and squeeze every penny out of it that they can while flushing everything it’s ever stood for down the toilet. They get loaded, we get H4 that resembles the low-IQ cousin of COD.

Get some friends that have the maps and roll in a full party. That’s about all you can do.
If anyone could help us out that’d be great, we’re a party of six, have spent roughly half an hour cycling through map choices on Richochet and Oddball but to no avail, hopefully with a full complement we can expedite the process.
