What exactly is the problem as to why you can’t play ? After the game launches choose multiplayer and pick either social or competitive and begin the search. Make sure the Xbox networking test has been ran you want to have ping lower than 100ms , the NAT to be open or moderate and connected to the server and Xbox live services should be up and running.
as for finding players there is a recruitment forum you can look for someone there try not to add lots to the forum post and edit your original one 
um is i cant play multiplayer online is becouse when i play halo 2 original was easy
are you trying to do campaign missions online? because there is no matchmaking for that. If you just want to do matchmaking you have to go to the multiplayer and social tabs to queue for multiple games.
I have a few things that might help:
Do you have a strong internet connection? If you do not have an ethernet cable, I would advise using one
Are you currently signed into Xbox Live? PC users do not need to pay for Gold, although Xbox users do
Try selecting all server regions, if you live in europe like me and use only european servers, it’s going to take a real long time for you to load into a game
Check if you are currently banned from using online services

yes i use pc but i donnt have a have an strong internet connecion and iam not banned because i never played on xbox live before ok and wanna be xbox live freinds
