How do I play Forge on PC?

Me and my friend just got Halo Reach, but we can’t find any options for forge, which is our favorite game mode. Do I have to buy the full version, or is it something I’m missing?

> As a reminder, Forge and Theater will not be included with Halo: Reach on PC at launch. These complex features require additional work and fine-tuning in order to support the additional requirements (and opportunities) offered on PC. Work is already well underway on these features (and additional post-launch updates to Reach) and we’ll share more details later next year.

Does anybody read notes from developers before buying? This has been known for a while.
