How do I message monitors?

Having some confusions about the way the new forum works, but I can’t for the life of me find a way to message mods.
What do I do? :slight_smile: thx

I notice too that I can’t find how I message anybody at all, tried googling but I didn’t find anything.

I found a way to contact all of the monitors at once. But I still don’t know how to contact individual profiles.

If it’s the monitors you wanna message you can press the “monitor” title next to the monitor’s name in threads. That brings you to a list of them, and there will be a message button.

It’s a little hidden, but to send a new private message you have to create a new topic. I’ll give instructions for PC here:

  • Go to any forum section, click ‘+ New Topic’ at the top right. A message box should appear at the bottom of the screen.
  • In the top-left of that message section there is text ‘+ Create New Topic’. Click the ‘+’, then the ‘New Message’ pop-out.
  • You can Create and add users to a private message there.

When I tried sending a message to you it pops up “Sorry, you cannot send a personal message to that user.” Any idea why?

I believe it’s something to do with the trust levels. You need to be at a certain trust level to do it I think.

Dang that’s strange. Freak_A_Fan seems to have the right idea, it must be the new trust levels

Figure we might as well ask a monitor, @stckrboy is there any clarifications you can make as to how we can message the mods individually?

The ability to message mods independently is no longer available. You can send a message to the moderation team and that way any of us can pick up the message once we are available. Also means the potential of someone missing it reduces significantly

I think I’ve got it. I’m guessing both the sender and the receiver needs to reach the trust level. One of the requirements for PM was creating 5 topics.
