how do i make a clan?
Step one: Come up with name. Example: Super Spartan Raider League.
Step two: Come up with rules and armor/emblem requirements.
Step three: Send MTARP (Message to all recent players) asking players to join your clan(or mature gaming community. whatever you want to call it), regardless of skill level.
Step four (optional): Create cheap website on a cut-and-paste website creator such as Wix.com.
And there you have it! You have yourself a clan.
Don’t do step 3. I block everyone who does that to me. It’s spam.

On your rules, don’t be too bossy. Limit them to just being a good sport, no cheating,etc. Folks don’t like a lot of rules that require them to jump through hoops and loops. Rules should mostly state what NOT to do in order to foster a friendly environment.
You can create one thread here on Waypoint in the recruiting forum to advertise.
You can also use Twitter, Face book, Google +, and a You Tube channel to advertise.
Don’t be disrespectful to other groups and break the rules in the recruiting forum, and don’t spam people. You’ll go further if you avoid annoying recruiting tactics.
I’m the founder of a group with over 100 members that’s been around for three years. We have a minimum participation policy in which we kick out 15 to 20 inactive members every month, yet we maintain over 100 members due to tactful recruiting and being active.
Last, define your mission and purpose and stick with it. You won’t please everyone, so don’t try. Do your thing, recruit for it, and like minded folks will come to you and join.
