Okay I’ve went into custom games and made it open to all players? Do I need to do anything else to get it on the custom lobby? Just a case of waiting? Wasn’t sure if another step. Been waiting good few minutes now.

You can only view and join in progress games.

Well I hate to moan, but that kinda sucks. It would be nice to be able to set up a match in a lobby before starting it. Balance teams etc.
The custom browser is awesome, but it needs a few tweaks. For a start, I should be able to hide full games. Usually the first page or two is all full games that I just have to scroll past.

You can of sorts, once they join an in-progress game and the game ends they can stay in your lobby, be booted, or leave. It’s only JIP though. If the game isn’t running it doesn’t exist.

I agree some tweaks would make it far better functioning. Lobby limits chief among them imo. You can reverse the search results so that the games with the fewest players appear first though.
i play on quite a few custom games because my friend loves to forge them!
we have them open to all and start off with our usual group of 4 players. the games tend to fill up pretty quickly because the game is somewhat active when people join a fresh game. you might try inviting a few randoms after a wzff game if you have a custom ready to go, just so that the game is active when you start it.
we always play free-for-all so it gives everyone a decent chance in a jip.
we have also found that the ‘classic’ maps get filled up much quicker. once we get a full group playing we scroll through about 6 different maps and if your maps are balanced and you’re not slow in setting them up, you will retain some players each game.
on the down side in customs, when one player quits, the game will lag/freeze for a second and a couple more people quit because they think the game is broken 
just have to ride out that bump but the people that play customs a fair bit will hang around!

It shouldn’t be just games in progress, it should be any custom game lobby.
So when I create a game (or map whatever) in custom game and make it available to all (it shows up in Customs Browser if I’m getting this right) I then have to run around in the game alone waiting for someone to come in? That’s the system? Are you serious? Sorry but that sounds kind of silly. Who’s idea was that? It’s obviously not working.
