If people are in a Live party they have the little chat icon over their name in the pregame lobby

That just says that they are in a live chat party no way to tell if its same party in-game or out or how many are from that party. The UI looks nice but the lack of information just makes it a waste.
As players are coming in the loading text on the left side will blink with that party size ie 5 and 3 team of 5 blinks first then party of 3 blinks…
Keep looking for it it’s there…

There’s a difference between being in a chat party vs. being grouped up in party to play together. As everyone has stated, there is no way to tell if you’re playing a team who’s a bunch or randoms or a giant party. Another simple thing I wish they’d left in.
If I knew i was facing a party of 8, I’d just quit out considering loss is imminent. Usually don’t have to waste that much time though as my team will fall behind by 10kills before the 20 kill mark
