How do I include links in my posts? I know how to format the links but the forums won't let me include them

I have been trying to cross-reference other forum posts as well as include external links for something like two and a half weeks now but I can’t for the life of me manage to include links here. According to Discourse, I should be able to include links with my trust level but the closest I can do is this This is the Discourse trust level page. How can I get links to post?

Thanks for the info. I hope it changes in the future but now I’m not feeling super confident in that happening.
