To assassinate someone get behind them and melee them, sometimes you just get a beat down but if you do it right then you assassinate them

If you hold your melee button you assassinate every time as long as the animation setting is turned on, IDK about this whole “sometimes” thing, maybe you don’t know how to do them either?

No sometimes u do just get a beat down possibly because of not enough space for the assassination animation.

I’ve done over 1000 not just on other Spartans, you need to be almost touching their back to get an assassination, you 'll get it even in tight stops ( the animation will continue ever through walls ).
There is an exemption to normal animation to choose that is AIRSASSINATION when you get your knife out and hit them between the should blades
