How do i unlock the mark 6 helmet? I heard from my friend that you need to complete the campain on legendary, but is he right? If so, do you need to do it solo, or can you get it co-op?
PS, please dont turn this into a huge debate thread, because i just asked a simple question.
I am fairly sure it is completing the campaign on legendary. I’m in the midst of working on this myself, if you need advice on any mission let me know, my GT is oO Trident Oo.

You must complete Legendary campaign solo [or co-op]. This will unlock the entire Mark VI armor set (helmet, shoulders, chest, and legs). Check out Nak3dHalo’s YouTube channel on how to get through Legendary quickly.

I have it and I completed it cooperatively.
You have to beat the game on Legendary, co-op or solo. I got the armor when I beat it with my friend.
To get the Mark 6 armor, you need to complete the campaign on legendary, however you can play the campaign co-op and it will still give you the mark 6 armor as long as you complete the mission. Just make sure every time you beat a mission it counts towards your commendations under player for the campaign. The first day Halo 4 came out my brother and I beat it on legendary, but for some reason it didn’t count the last 3 missions being completed on legendary, regardless that we got the achievement for beating campaign on legendary. As long as it says at the end that you beat that mission on legendary for the commendation progress, you can do the campaign legendary on co-op and still get the mark 6 armor.

I apologize. I was wrong. Co-op apparently will work also. That’s good news for me if I get hung up on Solo Legendary. Nak3dHalo’s videos are very helpful though.
Short version:
Beat it on Legendary (solo OR co-op).
Make sure commendations unlock for each level.
Don’t start levels from mid-way Rally Points.
Acquire dat sweet Mark VI armor!
I beat the game on Legendary Solo.
But because I wasn’t online while doing it, only 3 of the missions are checked off as complete in my commendations.
Make sure you are connected to xbox live at all times when playing the campaign or you will have to redo the missions.
As long as you have a Legendary completion on each of the missions it doesnt matter if you do it solo or co-op. I have a friend that got her’s with the campaign half completed legendary solo and the rest of it completed on co-op.
