For a while now I have had this legendary idea for some future Halo game’s story. But for now I want to keep it classified so how do I send it the story writer in Seattle.
I think you’re too little too late my friend. We’re less than a year out from release. Story has almost certainly been written and approved already, and the devs are likely approaching the end of their rough draft of the game before working on final tweaks and touch ups with the help of a beta or flight soon.
Hey OP, I’m afraid you wouldn’t be able to submit a story to 343 in this manner. They follow Microsoft’s policy on not allowing unsolicited submissions, as a lot of companies do.
If story writing is something you’re interested in, I’m sure there are ways to break into that area. Maybe try and reach out to existing writers and seen what advice they can offer?
I admire your enthusiasm but you can’t. Post it to a fanfic site or something. Microsoft and 343i would never take outside input or ideas for their stories unless they hire someone in or reach out to professional writers.
To get 343 to consider your story ideas for halo, you’d need to be hired by 343.
To get hired by 343, you’d need to show credentials in the area you’d be applying for a job in (creative writing, story boarding, etc).
To get credentials, you’d need a degree and experience.
Sounds like you’ve got yourself a career path to work towards.
