My wife and I have Halo 5 and are trying to play the campaign co-op, we cant access the reqs, all our progress keeps dissapearing, I cant access any online info or anything, not even the daily message will show up, any help would be appreciated, in fact i cant even post this request for help as there is an error message to try again later.
ffs this is ridiculous, we dropped serious coin on pre-ordered legendary and limited editon copies, after the mess that was the master chief collection we decided to wait to play H5 till the new year so any bugs would be ironed out, and whilst we finished other games. Guess we didnt wait long enough…
um…that sucks.
Internet speed? Location? This might help narrow it down but if you have two Xbox consoles connected at the same time your internet may suffer for it. The campaign still uses dedicated servers so you do need good internet for just about everything. I nor any of the other 12 people I play with have had any issues since launch, but some have so idk.
No problems here… A couple things…
-
There is no local co op.
-
If you are trying to play online on 2 separate consoles. Your internet will probably suffer.
-
You need Xbox live. You can’t do barely anything unless you have Xbl.
-
If you bought digitally maybe try to delete it from your game library and re download. Suck I know as it takes forever… But there could be a corrupted file or something
we are in New Zealand, Christchurch to be specific, we have a fibre connection which is 100mb dl (speedtest result of 45mb) and 25 ul.
we have never had any issues like this playing any of the other games in online co-op with our two xbox ones, dying light, destiny, any of the other Halo games, etc etc.
even if mine is the only console I cant see anything under the requisitions etc, my armour, emblem and tags keep resetting to default, I get a message saying that my profile cant be authenticated and all online content will be unavailable.
it is definitely halo 5 specific as our other games are working fine.
I have googled it and there seem to be a lot of people with the same issue, no word on a solution though from the forums i have tried so i thought i would ask here.
cheers :o)
we have discs and have installed from those, we both have xbox live gold membership

Yeah some people play fine from that region others don’t. Definitely weird. I have an Aussie friend from Queensland that has no issues but that’s not the same as New Zealand so idk. I would definitely try to hard reset, then try to see if your gamer tag will show reqs and all that via your wife’s Xbox one and vice versa, and if not, maybe try to uninstall then reinstall. Also I saw a thread on here that in EU sometimes rank an stuff wasn’t working because the privacy settings of the modem or router, such as like child control or something like that that was naturally set in, was causing halo to be blocked and they had to manually turn it off. Not sure if that is what’s goin on here though or if it’s not related. Also just a note while installing on the disc might be fine it still pulls data for the update from Xbox live so could be that, tho I would definitely only use one Xbox to test that. Anyway good luck man. My only other suggestion if still having trouble is maybe give Xbox support a ring.
