How do I get bullets that go through walls?

Because I’ve seen lots of enemies who have them already “unlocked”

There is not such thing like piercing bullets is just lag or connection issues that made look like the shots had that effect

Wallbanging - shooting and killing someone through a wall / obstacle - would make weapons a lot more dangerous than they should. Unless all weapons had penetration power, this would be considered hacking or cheating.

I believe the hit already registered in the system. So even if it appears that you were fast enough to take cover… The “hit” still counted. I’m only speculating though. Because I’ve seen many, many, MANY games where I don’t see how I died. There was just no way, I was behind a wall, yet still died.

Halo 5. An incomplete game. Has it’s many shortcomings.

Don’t get me wrong though… I love this game. I enjoy playing it.

My guess is that it probably has a lot to do with hit detection and your latency since there currently isn’t any way to shoot through walls. While to you it may seem that you got behind cover the enemy might not see the same. I know what your talking about and I know its super frustrating, but there’s not much we can do about it.

Saaaaame, for all its flaws I can’t stop coming back ;v;

But yeah, everything said here sounds like lag issues than anything else. I had this happen more often in Halo 4 than in Halo 5, but it still happens from time to time. What I get more than “Magical bullets” is the server having some issue then booting me from a match.

I think this is my favorite instance of lag.

Oooh man getting Halo 4 flashbacks with that xD If things like that weren’t happening every other game, it was the Black Screen of Death.

Had some cases of that in Reach too, but Physics glitches were far more common - and far more amusing. Anyone remember that BTB Heavies map with the wraith that’d end up shooting off into the sky every few dozen games? I forget the name of the map, but it was set near the height limit in Forge…

I don’t really know that it’s because it’s an incomplete game. I have terrible internet for some reason, so playing in the evening especially causes me to suffer severe lag spikes and constant high latency. Getting shot through walls is caused by the fact that you have to upload and download match information to and from the dedicated server. When your ping/latency is low, around 100 ms or less, you’ll notice less delay between when you take the shot and when you get the hitmarker. Same goes for shots the enemy gets on you, since it may appear like they shot you through a wall, but the enemy shot you before you went behind cover, and high latency caused you to believe you made it when in actuality you died a fraction of a second before, and you had to receive that information from the server. It’s similar in other online games, too, especially when I play. Wish I had the ability to upgrade my connection.

I still play the game a ton, though. I’m 2.5 million into 151, 12.5 million to go to rank up for the last time. I really enjoy H5.

Correct. No doubt it’s a connection issue.

I just mentioned the incompleteness of this game because of how I personally feel about Halo 5. I still love playing this game. Heck, all of my previous posts are sorta love/hate towards it. I only play Halo. I only purchased the Xbox for Halo. As well as the Halo Edition Xboxes. But when Halo 5 came out, the lobby was jacked and the lobby still is. You mean to tell me they still haven’t fixed communications in lobby!!! Unless you’re in a party chat!!! Then once the game was out for a few months, there was still no “carnage results” at the end of each match!!! No stats whatsoever. Then what, almost a year after the game came out, Warzone Firefight dropped!!! All that should have been out when the game initially came out. Instead of adding things that should have been there in the beginning, we should have been getting new REQs, new maps, different playlists… Not a complete new game set.

I still love this game… It’s just incomplete.

Dude, Fails of the Weak by Achievement Hunter is absolutely full of those physics glitches. They’re hilarious.

Thanks, I knew it was something urban-related but I couldn’t for the life of me remember the exact name ><

I agree with that. It’s pretty frustrating when basic stuff isn’t in the game at launch. However, I’ve actually got a theory as to why so many seeming basic features weren’t in the game and have taken them so long to develop since its launch. Since I don’t want to take this thread off-topic, I’ll send you a P.M. if you’d like to hear it.

To get those kind of bullets, you’ll need a Potato wifi

I would love to watch it but my internet is lagging.

Basically, I unload two shotgun shells into someone walking into a wall, then teleport 30 feet backwards and get killed by him.

i dont think you can shoot through walls. It is probably connection issues or lag.
