Here are my main death causes:
1.Power Weapon carriers (Snipers, Incineration Cannons, Rocket Launchers etc.)
2.Being swarmed and shot at by like, ten thousand Spartans at once
3.Being sniped by DMRs and Battle Rifles
4.Vehicles (Splattering and Vehicular Weapons)
Main Causes of getting low kills:
1.Kill stealers
2.Runners
3.Enemies who stay near their team
4.Hiding in bases/throughout the map
Other Info so I can get the proper tips:
Help me out so I can get more Kills than Deaths?
Loadout: DMR, Battle Rifle, Thruster Pack Dexterity, Firepower
Tips by pros or suggestions are appreciated.
I am a midrange/long range fighter lonewolf…
well, i dont use this loadout but you could use
DMR
Boltshot
Plasmas
Active Camo
Shielding
Dexterity
or you could just be gay. theyre pretty much the same anyway.
if you cant beat em, join em. atleast until the title update comes.
Well I am no pro but I can definitely tell by your idea of being a “lone wolf” that your main problem is that you are not being a team player. Halo is all about teamwork and strategy. The reason you are getting team shot is because you aren’t with your team. Stick with your team, push together, and back up when your shields drop and you have backup from your team.
Your main causes of death are pretty much all the ways you can die in Halo. Make getting the power weapons your priority and then come back to your team. Don’t go too far into enemy territory alone. As for the low kills that just comes from practice. Make sure to be putting shots into any enemy you see but don’t always chase them. Pick off weak people and participate in team shot. As for your loadouts, I wouldn’t recommend firepower because you hardly ever need to use both weapons at the same time. Instead use something like the one that lets you pick up grenades. I like thruster pack but make sure you are using it defensively to help you get back into cover when your shields break.
psychosoldier63: That loadout is the epitome of what I hate about Halo 4. Camo camping with a boltshot is no way to get better at Halo.
i could not agree with you more. my go-to loadout is
BR
magnum
frags
thruster pack
shielding
Ammo or stability.
i absolutely hate camo campers with the dmr. its no way to improve and just makes people want to rip out your throat. but its impossible to play with a BR in BTB when the ENTIRE TEAM USES DMRS. absolutely impossible.
That’s just the nature of BTB. DMR or Light Rifle is more useful in the large spread out areas of maps like Exile and Ragnarok. I personally prefer BR for almost every single playlist but on BTB I always use the DMR.
Camo Camping is the epitome of terrible Halo playing. You are never going to learn any of the important aspects of Halo. Sure your k/d might improve and you think you are getting better but in the long run you are doing more harm than good.
couldnt ave said it any better. I think Thruster pack is one of the most useful armor abilities, but thats my opinion.
For starters, DMR and BR, you don’t need them both. I’d recommend an auto or a magnum with a ranged weapon. Second, you can only lone wolf, if either the rest of your team is on one side and you flank, or if the match is starting. Finally, practice aiming and strategy.
First of all, using the DMR and BR in the same loadout seems pretty silly. I recommend you switch one of them (the BR for now, since the DMR is overpowered in comparison) for an Assault Rifle to use in closer range or switch Firepower for something else. If you’re not already using frags, I’d recommend them. Practice bouncing nades off walls and such and get the timing down where you can throw a nade at a doorway/corner they’re about to come through. This can help you deal with a couple guys who are coming after you. Knowing the maps is also always helpful.
Also, it’s good to have different loadouts for different maps and situations. Sometimes the other team does well against a certain loadout/style and you just have to switch it up.

You wait until 343i changes the guns to the point to where you are good at the game.
well OP, i can’t say im PRO…but i got time playing halo series.
and like u im kinda lone wolf, but i always try to help my team anyway posible when i move around the map.
Supporting fire, clean kills, save team mates, helping take down vehicles, cover people, kill campers or tease them, etc.
if you are gonna play BTB, choose DMR, is friendly for anyone and equip a plasma pistol for defense against vehicles and equip frag nades.
now if u use firepower use a light rifle as ur secondary if u just do long range or an automatic if u need to attack in CQC battles too, Assault rifle is better for you.
and creat multiple loadouts, some stuff is better in some situations.
good luck OP, and don’t use camo, camo don’t help for you strafe.
At this point there is nothing you can do, the best players have been pouring in months of play time since the mid-2000’s on previous games.
To be competitive:
1)Be good with frag grenades
- Jump and shoot accurately with BR
3)situational awareness
^The aforementioned things will take at least 1 hour of play time a day to accomplish.
If your aim isn’t great, then stay away from long-range encounters. Use an automatic weapon, coupled with a Magnum so you can compete with precision weapons at mid range. Getting the jump on someone as they round a corner is a sure way to get a kill; I would recommend you use Promethean Vision so you can see 'em coming and increase your awareness. Thruster Pack is also an option, so you can dodge Boltshots, throw off the enemy’s aim, and escape potential deaths from grenade blasts.
Learn to use and appreciate every weapon that is available to you. Whether that be the DMR or the Suppressor, you’ll be sure to find a weapon that you can build your own playstyle on. You’ll make it work.
> 1.Power Weapon carriers (Snipers, Incineration Cannons, Rocket Launchers etc.)
Due to the random nature of Infinity Settings, a lot of this is out of your hands.
The best thing to do is grab the on-map power weapons as fast as possible, and rack up kills to call in more power weapons.
> 2.Being swarmed and shot at by like, ten thousand Spartans at once
Stick with your team. Know when to retreat.
> 3.Being sniped by DMRs and Battle Rifles
Use one yourself.
> 4.Vehicles (Splattering and Vehicular Weapons)
Ambush them or hide. But never expect to win a head on battle with a vehicle unless you are packing some major heat.
> Loadout: DMR, Battle Rifle, Thruster Pack Dexterity, Firepower
Replace the BR with a Boltshot, Plasma Pistol, or Automatic.
Stay close to cover when using thruster pack.
Figure out who is doing the best on your team and then shadow him for the game. You will get two benefits out of this: 1 you will stay alive longer because you can use teamwork and 2 you can learn from watching how he plays.

Genius!

bad advice, if you want to watch a player, go into the theatre mode.
