I’m very late to the party, I know. I want to have Halo 2 for PC and every H2 map, along with the latest patches, all installed and working perfectly on a Vista PC, and I need to do all of this before the online thing dies. Will the game still be patch-able after the servers are shut down?

Well hopefully someone can help you get it set up. I installed Halo 2 years ago and been running it on my PC fine. I just wanted to let you know it DOESN’T have to be on Vista. You can use Windows 7. It runs fine on W7. Vista was so horrible at managing memory usage that it would suck up RAM which in turn would cause the game to slow down a bit. I highly advise try installing it on W7 instead of Vista if you can.
