I really don’t know that many people and when I try to setup a custom game I find it difficult to get a full match. usually not enough people join or I just don’t have anyone join at all. ANY suggestions?
Invite friends and recent players, and have friends Invite people too.
And make the match open so people in custom browser can join
Alot of factors can go in to how noticeable your custom game is:
- the popularity of the game/map you’re playing - how many other lobbies are doing the same game/map - the max number of players you set the game to - the number of people in the lobbyIt can help to start out your lobbies under the max player limit, because then it appears earlier in the browser. Nobody wants to join an empty lobby, so maybe try looking for players in the Recruiting section of and LFG service. And above all else, be patient.
and what if your playing on pc? does all the afore mentioned still count? is there anything else worth mentioning?
In general, I play at least a few minutes of random custom games, then I invite those guys to my game from Recent Players. I recommend obtaining recent players from custom games, as they’re more likely to join your own custom game. Even so, I often have to start the match with 4 or even less players, and hope that others will join.
It’s a difficult task, to be sure.
