How do I fight Serina?

Greetings HW2 waypoint goers!

I have to ask after getting completely and utterly destroyed by the goddess of death, how does one fight Serina?
My own personal opinion on her is she is utterly broken and overpowered, almost as much as 300% Forge was, or Living Barrier Colony exploit was. However, I’m going to assume I’m wrong for now and ask for help instead.

Does anyone have tips on effectively fighting a Serina?

What do you find difficult to deal with from her? IMO she really is that bad. Her only 2 advantages are her ground ice freezing (hero/turrets/nodes) and her cryobomb and break combo. Both can be countered easily. And in the cryobomb’s case it takes more leader points than everyone else’s leader wheel.

To counter her nodes or hero just avoid fighting on that patch of ground. It takes time to unlock and move her hero if you move the battle just a little bit you can avoid it completely and force the other user to spend time microing her freeze truck. If you’re getting hit early by her you’re not scouting. Grenades or vehicle turrets will shut that down stat.

Her cryobomb and break can be deadly to low health units, but doesn’t do much to heavier units(tanks). If you are just massing air you are going to get killed by a good serina user. Build a bunch of tanks and the cryobomb doesn’t hit as hard. Also it takes 4 point between the two moves to become deadly. Compare that to Glossing Beam’s 3 points- more damage, less range. Each has its advantage.

My guess is you’re not scouting her ice cream truck early and your non upgraded marines are losing to it and/or you’re massing hornets/banshees and getting obliterated by Cyro which hits those two harder than anything else.

Serina’s mid game is very vulnerable when she has to keep pouring pointing into cryo and break skills. Every other leader will have more options and leader skills opened.

This is an excellent overview. With Serina the mid-game is where you ca really make hay.

In the early game scouting is key: wherever her main thrust is going either stop it from getting there, either by attacking a base to pin her back pre-emptively, or ambushing it.

Serina isn’t mobile. You need to take advantage of that at all stages of the game, but early game especially
