Subject title sums it up. Anyone know how?
You can’t.
Maybe you can ask a moderator or send a pm to bs angel…
So we can’t delete our own accounts/profiles if we decide that we want to? Huh. That’s frustrating. Thank you for answering the question for me.
You’re welcome MRF520
Wouldn’t be a little bit like trying to delete your own XBL account since it’s all under the -Yoink!- umbrella?
Sounds like an odd request. Maybe I’m missing something, but why would you want to do that?

This.
@MRF520: Your forum account is linked to your gamertag, so you can’t delete it. You can always just stop using it, though. :\
Either delete your Xbox account or stop posting. Only options that I know of.
Alternatively change your gamertag and wait for the next site update. Your old account will be unlinked and you will never be able to access it again.
Why do you want to delete your Waypoint Account? Don’t you like us?
You can stop posting for one. Never sign in again and forget this place.
Delete your GT would be another way but that might not be worth the trouble.
You can also get perma banned but that’s not something i recommend unless you are adamant on being blocked till 2552.

Wasn’t clued into that fact, thanks for educating me on the matter.

In answer to why, it’s nothing to do with any fellow Waypoint users. I feel that 343i/Waypoint and myself are no longer copacetic on the basis of my personal preference.
I’m not at all interested in Halo 4 in regards to continuing Master Chief and Cortana’s storylines. I don’t much care for their characters, my interest has always been with other characters in the Halo universe. I was at first intrigued by the possibilities Halo 4 could offer, given that the title of the series is “Halo” in reference to the Forerunner structures and not “The Adventures of John and Cortana”. Note: This is strictly my opinion based on my personal preference and in no way an attack on fans of the two characters. There have been so many other characters within the Halo universe that have entertained and fascinated me: Noble Team, the ODST’s of Halo: ODST, Sergeant Johnson, Guilty Spark and the glimpses we’ve had/read of other Forerunner constructs as well as the Forerunners themselves, the individual races within the Covenant, various men and women of the UNSC, the other Spartan II’s as well as Spartan III’s; so many other perspectives to view from in Halo 4 and I’d hoped that 343i might choose to do so.
Where Waypoint is concerned, it’s going to back whatever plays 343i makes. I reason that being the case, there’s not much use in my continued involvement with Waypoint.
I have a question. My actual active.Gametag is Curver88, but on waypoint it is curver8. Have pm’d angel but yet to get reply. Odd thing if you search for 88 all my stats are there. How do I change the Gametag on waypoint?

You’re going to have to be a bit patient, you didn’t exactly pick a good time to bring this up. 343I is currently busy with PAX, even then it may take a day or two before bs angel can get back to you (she is the community manager, so she can get quite a few messages). The best thing to do right now is to wait a bit.
Also, please don’t necropost threads.

you don’t have to agree with them to stay.
Why would you want to delete your account/profile? Just curious.
I only want to delete profiles or accounts because I have too many spelling errors on my posts or it’s linked to an e-mail address I don’t use. Does anyone know how to change email adresses on Waypoint though?

My knowledge on this is fuzzy, but I think that changing the email address on your Windows LIVE account should suffice.
Only way to rid of an account is to contact xbox support on the phone and have your windows live account disabled and the gamertag deleted from the server system.
Suggestion would be to just leave it as is and just dont use it at all.
