How Do DLC Achievements Work?

I thought you could only unlock the dlc achievements if you fulfilled the criteria on one of the said dlc’s maps. However I have a couple of achievements from dlc I do not own. So what is the requirements here? Also is it currently possible to unlock all of the achievements anymore or are the playlists too messed up now?

I don’t think it’s possible to acquire all the achievements now, I haven’t seen a Stockpile match in forever and I know there’s like 3 achievements for that gametype. I’ve earned some DLC achievements, but I don’t have the DLC so I think you can just earn them.

There used to be maps you could download and earn all the DLC achievements on. However, with that said, I also believe they changed it so you didn’t have to have the DLC to earn the achievements.

I think it’s a glitch, my last achievement for Reach was this year in 2017 and it’s the Offensive Driver achievement. I don’t own any of the DLC for Reach except through Halo CEA.

did you get it on an anniversary map?

No I got it on that Rocket Race map in multiteam. Hemorage I think.

Unfortunately I think its all very random. I was tried to do the achievement where you assassinate someone who just armor locked and it didn’t work the four times we tried it
