- How do I make a custom challenge?
- Can I send them to myself, or only my friends?
- How does one accept a challenge? Only through Waypoint, or can you do it in Reach too?
- By going to the Challenge page
- You can choose if you want to send it to a friend through the challenge page (up to 7 friends).
- They can only accept them through Halo Waypoint.
PS: If you complete a challenge, your cR will be rewarded after the time limit is up and you have ‘turned in’ the Challenge.
Addendum to above questions. Can you send challenges out to other in all formats? It seems like I haven’t had the ability to send FF challenges for weeks now.

It should be right above the second ‘Create Challenge’ button when making it.
Some things to note:
-
You only need to turn in challenges if you have completed them and want to create new challenges of the same kind. Either way the credits don’t get credited to your account until the time expires.
-
For a given challenge, the payout is less if you give yourself more time to complete it. To maximize payout use 3 hours, which is the minimum. So instead of creating a challenge to get 1000 kills in Firefight in 6 hours, create one for 500 kills in 3 hours, and as soon as you complete it turn it in and create another one for 500 kills.

I’ve found the challenge page to be a bit flaky. Sometimes clicking the Create Challenge button has no effect. Refreshing the page seems to fix it. After you complete each step in creating a challenge the next option becomes available. Sometimes an option, such as Invite Friends, won’t become editable. If that happens, I’ve found that clicking in previous options can cause the dead one to open up so you can set it.
It wont let me create a challenge for some reason does anyone now why?
It doesn’t even show the custom challenges part for me and I’ve used Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome but to no avail.
I had a Matchmaking Firefight challenge to get 800 kills in 3 hours. I played Arcadefight for all the matches. I kept a tally by writing down the number of kills I had after each match. I reached 800 with about 18 minutes to spare, but decided to do another match just to be thorough. I was able to play 7+ matches in 3 hours (many matches, I was the only remaining member, so I never reached the bonus round). I had 130, 144, 144, 111, 118, 158, and 104 kills. My math says I had at least 909 kills by the end of the challenge. When I went to turn in my challenges (with about 4 minutes left, it said I only had 694. I waited until a few seconds left on the countdown and hit turn-in again, but nothing changed. Any ideas as to what went wrong?

Were you playing with a guest by any chance, custom challenges are bugged and if you are playing with a guest, will track your guests kills and no yours.

Wrong. If you complete and “Turn-In” the Challenge it will be awarded to your account immediately. (I usually start a custom game, then end it, and they show up.) If not, they will be added after the next game you play. If you complete it, but don’t bother to turn it in, then it will be added at the end of the duration of the challenge.

Sorry to say but when the guy wrote his comment 3 months ago, technically he was right. You did used to have to wait until the time of your challenges ended to get the credits awarded to you. It has only been recently (since the last Waypoint update I think) that turning in custom challenges will immediately give you the credits. This has only been in effect for the past month or so, and was done to stop people by-passing the credit cap.

Ahh didn’t look at the date. Didn’t think a thread would be at the top from 3 months ago! Yeah, it used to all come in at the end of the alotted time. But, people boosted million cR/day and they had to change it.

As for making them through Xbox Waypoint, at this time, it is not possible, however you can turn in and forfeit challenges on there.
i made one but it doesnt up date my kills does it require a gold membership to work?
where could i find halo reach custom challenges under
Based moa, do the halo reach custom challenges give u credits if u complete it like immediately like the real challenges
No they don’t. Your credits will show up at the end of the time period for the challenge. Make a note of yer credits…Then wait til after the time has expired on your challenge. Then check your credits after a bit
