How do clans work in Halo?

How do clans work on Halo? Is it similar to call of duty?

I’m fairly new to the multiplayer side of Halo, I always played it mainly for the campaign. I will be getting into the multiplayer side of it once I get my halo 4 console bundle

It’s been a while, I probably haven’t played Halo multiplayer since Halo 2 was released…

Thanks

Usually clans consist of a number of players that use the same emblem, and participate in clan battles together. I don’t know if clans will be anything official, but there will definitely be quite a few in the beginning!

Thanks for the info.

Even though COD and Halo are two completely different styles of FPS, It would be cool if Halo Adopted clans and an elite typ service similar to what COD has.

most halo clans just use game battles to organise and track their clan battles.

As a leader of my own clan, I think I can help you out. Clans were created with the original idea of having a permanent “team” other then what you find in matchmaking, to always be there and back you up.

Usually, the clan members have a typical standard emblem, service tag, and armor colors that mark that person as a member of the team. (this varies on clans, as does the rules regarding color sceme and emblem stuff. e.g. ranking)

Clans, lacking any offical methods to do otherwise,(hint hint wink wink 343) set clan matches up normally through custom games, and is usually a standard team death match. However, the battles can vary in type such as this new, although in my opinion pretty nooby game type called Headquarters, where the only objective is for one team to get inside the base of the other team. (it is very very very one sided and not really fun)

so thats pretty much how clans operate in halo hoped it helped

oh really? i just write down my wins/losses on a piece of paper lol

My friend runs a clan and just puts the wins and losses in his bio.

In DHG, the clan that I joined, we have ranks that are separated by different “suits”. The newer members are silver, officers are sage, and commanding officers are blue. The major members of the clan are red and then black.

Our ranks are shown with our emblem, as well as in our motto.
