How did you unlock the halo 2 br?

So i am now opening gold packs and I just was curious in asking y’all when you unlocked the H2 br. I just want to see if there is a pattern in unlocking or do i have to unlock something before i get h2 br.
Like 4 real bro?

No unlocking the Halo 2 Battle Rifle is pure randomness just like all other items in the REQ pool.

But when I unlocked my dmr, I had to unlock all uncommons and half of the rares certificates. Evens some one told me that they also had to unlock all uncommon and half of the rare certificates in order to achieve the dmr. Idk man maybe a coincidence.

Well I unlock my first DMR at my first Silver pack. Like I said, there’s no pattern in the REQ system when it comes to unlocking stuff. It’s all pure randomness and maybe luck on the side.

Doesn’t matter what someone told you, everything is purely random. Most of us in the forum have been playing the game for well over a year, if there were prerequisites we would know by now…

Pure randomness. On my second account I got the base DMR at level 23.

I got my h2br at around level 30-40.

I sold all my reqs and bought about 20 Gold packs and finally got the H2 BR. If your pushing to get the H2 BR I’d recommend selling everything. I have hundreds of weapon, vehicle and power up reqs, having a massive stockpile is a bit pointless as I would never actually be able to use them all so I think it’s best to just sell them and try get unlocks instead.

You have to make a small sacrifice to RNGesus, and if he is merciful that particular day you’ll get your DMR cert.

I prefer Lootcifer myself, but hey now you have options. :joy:

It was one of the last things I got, at level 130. be patient it will come.

A while back, REQ unlocks were retooled so now you’ll be expecting to get weapons and vehicles that will help you win a fight; customization options will come later.

I got my Halo 2 BR around SR 124 back in August, if I recall.

All the REQ packs are completely random, no level or skill requirement. You don’t need to get 25 head shots with that certain weapon, you don’t have to pick it off a dead team mate and keep it until the end of the game, all you literally need to do is earn RP and then spend those points on REQ Packs… It will take time to get what you actually want, but it will happen if you keep getting packs. I didn’t get a DMR or a Banshee(and many others) until my later levels(80+) it’s really all about your luck.

Bronze packs are just for fun or beginners, don’t waste your points on these if you’re trying to unlock something important, save your points for Silver or Gold but eventually even Silver packs will become as useless as Bronze(once you start unlocking everything Silver has to offer).

Dude i am an SR 140 and have been opening gold packs since i first got the game and still have not got it

That’s probably the same thing that will happen to me…

This is what has happened to a few people I know. We all did the Bronze, Silver, Gold method, and we all finished the grind around the 130 level.

How long have you been playing halo 5?

I got my H2 BR shortly after I finished silver packs. I think my level was late 80s or early 90s. It was from the gold packs Firefight gave out when it came out.

Did you not use the bronze, silver, and gold unlock method? It is the most efficient way to unlock stuff.

It’s completely random. It is BEST to unlock all the silver level packs first as it increases your chances for good stuff in gold packs when you open gold packs. It was one of the last things I unlocked. You see silver’s contain common to rare items and golds contain uncommon to legendary. So if you start with golds, the more expensive packs, odds are against you because common and rare stuff will be in the pool. Sure you COULD get lucky and unlock a H2BR right away but odds are against it. It’s best to open silver’s till you get back two 1500 req point cards instead of permanent unlocks. Then all that low level stuff is out of the pool and you will get good high level unlocks for your points when you get a gold pack.

Completely random. Heck… You could have purchased packs at level one and unlock everything…
