we have a large community that has played custom games in halo Twice a week for the last 10 years. we havent seen very many new people added to the community since the release of halo 4 and master chief collection killed half the community we had. they have moved on and will not come back to halo. now halo 5 comes and lobby chat doesnt work. do you know how hard it is to run custom games with out lobby chat. your killing a community that has had a huge following for the halo series. a community that was recognized by bungie several times on their website over the years. the next thing to die is 343 and the halo series. GET YOUR -Yoinking!- LOBBY CHAT FIXED!

I’m sure they’re well aware of the given the sheer number of threads about it. Probably best to use party chat in the meantime, you can either mute other players on opposite teams or use something like Skype to handle calls on hold and whatnot. Not a permanent solution, but one that works in the meantime.

no it doesnt work. either you dont play custom games or you dont understand what u just read. party chat only supports so many players which is less than the whole custom game party. once the game starts we want separate team chat. the fact that we cant communicate in the lobby with everyone is a huge problem. especially since we play a lot of forge maps and custom game types that often need to be explained among many reasons. skype is not an option. this has never been a problem until 343 took over. they are trying to follow the career of bret farve and instead of turning into aron rodgers they have become johnny manziel.

> it appears you are confused. you dont need big team maps to play with a full party and it is very rare that we have les than 12 in the room. most of the time we have upto 3 full rooms going. like i said party chat is not a solution not only is it not big enough but being in party chat makes it kinda pointless to use teamwork with callouts and such if the other team can hear us too. we could use 2 separate party chats but thats redundant since chat works just fine once the game starts. the problem is pregame lobby chat. that chat is important for many reasons and it doesnt work and thats problem that party chat doesnt fix
So new update say nothing about fixing lobby chat this single issue alone has aready pushed half my friends that play to playing somthing else i went From almost 40 friends playing everynight to between 10 and 15
its thursday night and still no lobby chat hope my group will still play tonight but this lobby chat thing has got to be fixed
