How did you feel when each Noble member died?

Title says it all, how did you feel when each member of Noble Team died? Which one was your favorite and least favorite?

I honestly didn’t have a clue what was going on the first time I played it. Emile is pretty damn boss.

“Bungie, you killed the most useful/effective/story driven characters (Jorge, Kat) so early and got rid of the last yet least useful one (Jun, who didn’t have a ridiculous armor combination). Emile and Carter are lame and they die less emotional deaths! I am disappoint.”

Kat: might be a bad driver (canonically according to TotS opening cutscene and in gameplay) but she did stuff. Wasn’t terribly bad with the pistol or AR.

Jorge: also did stuff, native to Reach, died for Reach. In gameplay, had good range and was a good distraction but had bad aim and rof.

Jun: a son of a -Yoink- on Nightfall, decent to some degree on other missions.

Carter: stereotypical leader. Rarely contributes. Bad range and lacks even the basic knowledge of firing the DMR.

Emile: stereotypical badass. Rarely contributes. Bad range and lacks even the basic knowledge of operating a shotgun.

I’m really glad the last 2 died. I’m also really glad Six died.

Jorge was my favorite. I wish he lived at least long enough to accompany Six during Lone Wolf. It would’ve been cool having him as my final stand buddy.

The others I was indifferent towards. Although I wish Kat had a more epic death, I mean getting head shot while in mid sentence and while running for cover… that was a very weeny way to kill off a Spartan. Poor show, Bungie, very poor show.

The death of Jorge was the most memorable based on character and sacrifice. Yet, seeing my version of Noble Six being killed was the most personal. As for the rest of the members of Noble team, I didn’t care as the other deaths were not as dramatic or emotional.

no charactor development, no fuks were given

Right from the get go I knew noble team died, so I prepared myself that the story would be sad. I think Jorges death effected me the most, Jorge is the man and to see him sacrifice himself was very noble, the only thing was he thought he died for something but he didnt. Kats was a close second just bang out of nowhere. As for Carters I thought that was awesome.

You can’t compare characters when your talking about them with the crapy ai controlling them. Any character in halo would suck if controlled by that ai, including chief.

So tell me, how did Emile contribute to Noble Team? Carter took down a Scarab but Emile just took down 2 Zealots. There is no comparison.

6 Zealots (4 + the 2 Emile killed) wouldn’t have been a problem to me but fighting a Scarab on foot would be.

Well they died defending Reach and delivering the Package.

Jorge was the only character that I legitimately cared about.
the other character deaths were cool, but nothing worth talking about, in my opinion.

To be honest, though, I feel like Jorge and Carter didn’t really have to die the way they did.

Kat: Nothing.
Emile: A bit; he was pretty bossin’
Carter: A bit; he died for something
Jorge: A bit; nice english guy
Jun: Obviously nothing as he dies later.

Six: I was pretty gutted but felt that it was necessary.

Reach = 2D characters

I wish Kat supercombined…

Emile went out in a good way…

Jun, I guess I’ll make up my own ending for him…

Jorge got an unfrigg from the grave, so good for him…

Carter went out in a blaze of glory…

Noble 6 went down kicking elite butt into the 40th century.

All of them Dead best story of all time kinda glad bungie did that.

I honestly liked it. I liked the fact that they didn’t keep all of them alive, that they showed that even though they where spartan types, they where still mortal.

Just like in Halo 3, i enjoyed to know that they didn’t make them seem immortal due to their play in the game like Sgt Johnson, Cpt Miranda keys, ETC. I didn’t like in the Reach one though how they made them all die. i think making like 4 of them die and then the rest stuck out on their own or getting put in a new group would have been nice.

Now please note if that would have interfered with the book, don’t jump on me because i haven’t gotten the chance to read them all.

No character development. Couldn’t give a damn about any of them.
