How did Warzone Firefight Do?

Ten-Hut!
Hi Soldiers of the Corps, well Warzone Firefight has been out for a long time now, so what I wanna know is how did you like it?

  • How would you rate it 1 to 10? - Did you like it better than classic Firefight? - What was your favorite variation of the gamemode: Heroic, Legendary or Mythic? - Whats your favorite memory of this gamemode? - And finally, did you find it fun?Let me know your opinions soldiers!

> How would you rate it 1 to 10?

6.5 at most.

> Did you like it better than classic Firefight?

Nope.

> What was your favorite variation of the gamemode: Heroic, Legendary or Mythic?

Heroic.

> Whats your favorite memory of this gamemode?

Getting my Scorpion flung in the air, then landing treads-down and killing the Warden.
Otherwise my memories of WZFF are mostly of how frustrating it was to play when it first launched.

> And finally, did you find it fun?

It had its moments, but was mostly the same old boring thing over and over.

1.) I’d rate it an 8.5 out of 10.
2.) Honestly, out of ODST, Reach, and 5…Reach had the best version of Firefight.
3.) I mostly would play Heroic.
4.) My favorite memory is when I managed to assassinate the final Warden Eternal boss and win the match for my team.
5.) I have fun with it. It’s not perfect but no game is perfect.

Decent best Halo 3 ODST was by far the best since it requires reqs om guving it a 3/10

Depends on what 10 is, I guess

Warzone firefight and classic firefight are so wildly different, it doesn’t even make much sense to compare them. They both have their own unique strengths and weaknesses. But I will say this: I actually prefer unlimited lives with a time limit rather than limited lives and no time limit.

> 2535416010022389;1:
> What was your favorite variation of the gamemode: Heroic, Legendary or Mythic?

Heroic, obviously. Why would I ever want to play on a difficulty that’s more bullet spongy?

> 2535416010022389;1:

Those days when my good friend played it with me. Nowadays he’s too busy for Halo :frowning:

Generally yes, despite its frustrating flaws, but I think it’s important to point out that the only reason I find it so fun is because I have a large collection of vehicle reqs.

  1. I give it 5 out of 10. It’s fun but way to repetitive, not enough variety of the rounds.

  2. Classic firefight was far superior. You could play either online or offline or matchmaking. It was fully customizable where you could make it as hard or as easy as you wanted.

  3. Heroic was my favorite version. Made you feel like you were playing as an actual Spartan.

  4. The first time I got to play “it’s a gruntapocalypse”… it was so fun, shame it’s so rare to come up.

  5. It’s fun, I enjoy getting to use reqs of my choosing deoedepen on level of course. I just wish it wasn’t so repetitive. Would it have really have been that hard to make more different rounds with different objectives?

My biggest complaint which applies to firefight and regular warzone is the bosses and ai are dumb. They stay in one general area of the maps. You can ignore bosses and enemy AI and they will just stand there.

I don’t think it’s as good as ODST or Reach, but it’s better than Spartan Ops . Which I feel is an unfair comparison, because Spartan Ops was nothing like firefight, but we were told over and overt it was the new version of firefight.

I wish there was more game type variety to it. Stuff like you get 3 respawns, and rounds go until you’re out. Or complete as many rounds as you can in a certain amount of time. You know, different varieties that were found in ODST and Reach.

All that being said, I still give it 9.1 out of 10. 343 did adapt it to firefight very well, and I think this score is as much a testimate to the quality of the firefights from previous games as it is to WZFF.

1) Maybe 4.5 out of 10.
2) I might like it better if they fixed a lot of things, but classic gets my vote so far.
3) Heroic
4) You’re asking me to wad through a brontosaurus size mound of you know what to find a good memory. Probably when I first heard the Grunt Mech’s sayings while fighting it. I had a good laugh.
5) I did find it fun during some points of my FF playing lifespan, but now it’s just a long monotonous chore to play it.

  1. I would honestly rate it 5.
  2. At first I enjoyed it because it was more team based objectives but I miss the regular survival firefight. 343 should’ve given us the classic firefight as well!
  3. Out of the 3: Legendary
  4. When I spawned a tank, I came out to shoot some banshees. One of them shot me on the side of my tank and I go flying and flipping in the air then land without taking any damage! XD
  5. I did and I still have fun playing it especially with friends. We goof and challenge each other to see which of us can get the most points or kills. Lol

  • Like a 5, 5.5 at best - Nope. - Heroic, easily. - Getting a Wraith Ultra from an Uncommon Random vehicle card in Round 2 and cleaning house for the rest of the game. - Fun enough, sure. There was just a lot of things that needed to be fixed/changed.
  • 6 out of 10 - Classic over this one. Both are noticeably different each other and the fact that you can freely customisation how you want the game to play out in Halo Reach. - Heroic. I still remember how hard it was before Heroic dropped in December 2016 - Bust out a Hannibal or ONI Scorpion and rolling the thunder for your teammates and this if you guys remember - At first, yes but now; it’s repetitive to play and I don’t go in as often as I do before
  • It seems most people liked the Heroic version. - It seems the average score was 5 out of 10. - Most people like classic bettter. - But it seems most people had fun regardless.

I would give it a six. I like the classic better, though I was never much of a pve type person. I like Heroic the best because you can still win if you have a few teammates with no thumbs. Once I finish the applicable commendations, I doubt I will play it again

8.5, gruntpocalypse has not been outdone, legendary, stealing a banshee off an enemy then killing the boss, hell yes.

  • 6 out of 10 - WZFF doesn’t even come close to ODST FF. ODST FF is still the best FF by a country mile! I agree with LethalQ too that the fact you can’t even play it offline is ridiculous. This said, I do sorta agree with Nate00000000000 on the fact it’s semi hard to even compare the two though. - Probably Legendary. I like a challenge. I found heroic to be a complete joke. Just way too easy, and Mythic is only good when you’re playing with people who actually have/use good REQs. - I don’t really have any memory that stands out. Unlike ODST FF where those bonuses rounds we’re fun, intense and hilarious!! And that Boss music that played from time to time. So good! So intense the further you got. - Honestly… I didn’t not have fun but I wouldn’t say I had piles of fun. Let’s face facts here, WZFF was slapped together. 343I never intended to have FF in Halo 5. They wanted and hoped everyone would love and play Warzone!! …ya…that didn’t work out as well as they hoped lolHalo 6 needs to have a huge focus on FF. I know REQs will be back (unfortunately…) But I really feel they need an ODST style FF and a REQ FF.

Halo 6 should have Ranked, Soical, Firefight, Custom games and Custom browser. Oh and things need to be there AT LAUNCH! None of this x is coming in 1 month or 3 or some garbage like this. I’m really tired of this trend of launching games with bare bones content. It hurt halo 5 a lot I feel in everyway. Sales, Reviews, Sustaining population/popularity etc. Lack of content really hurts. Look how much it’s hurt a game like Recore and more recently Sea of Thieves… it’s sad (notice a trend with those 3 games… All Microsoft exclusives games) Recore is such a good game now… i really wish it had launched the way it is now!! And in 6 months, I’m betting Sea of Thieves will be so much better. Not that it’s terrible, but it could be so much better.

1. I would give it a 6-6.5. I think the whole idea of WZ FF was really good but it has too many flaws. One being that most of the time Req weapons are completely useless. They don’t have enough ammo for their value and are generally only worth calling in if they are anti vehicle. Two would be the staleness of the rounds. I think some variety in rounds would help I’ve played my fair share of firefight, and though I know each respective round is random I feel like I am doing the same thing over and over again I would like something other than killing warden eternal or the serpent hunters over and over. Something like Array where you have to kill the Phantom or Sanctum where you defend the three constructs from massive amounts of Covenant. Lastly, are the spawns of both the enemy and the players. Half the time you are suppose to defend the building or generator ,ect. the enemies you are suppose to be protecting the objective from will literally spawn in right on top of the target or inside the building you are suppose to defend! It’s a joke and it’s something I can’t believe was never tweaked. As for Player spawns it gets old waiting 30 seconds to get back in the game upon death and then having the game spawn you on the other side of the map which could take another 30+ seconds just to get back in the action. Overall though I’ve had my share of fun even with the issues and really like playing PvE gamemodes with 8 players on the massive FF maps I just hope 343 perfects the gamemode in the future to make it even more worth the time spent playing.

2. For me WZ FF can’t touch the amount of fun I had playing classic FF. I loved the aspect of survival and would love to see some form of it return however I think a mixture of today’s WZ FF and the Classic ODST/Reach style FF would be absolutely epic!

3. Heroic, just because there isn’t much incentive (increased Xp,Req points, reward) to play legendary or mythic.

4. Greatest memory I have about WZ FF has to be winning a game of Mythic FF as the time expired.

5. Like I said above I enjoyed the gametype and still do to this day but it could use improvement.

> As for Player spawns it gets old waiting 30 seconds to get back in the game upon death and then having the game spawn you on the other side of the map which could take another 30+ seconds just to get back in the action.

And those 30+ seconds just to get back in the action can easily become two minutes if you decided to call in a Scorpion on a map like Apex 7. So frustrating :triumph: They really need to let us choose where to spawn

I’d say it’s a 6 or a 7. It could’ve been better but ultimately it usually boils down to throwing yourself at a wall enough times until the wall breaks. Just spawn powerful vehicles and pour shots into the enemies and you’ll win. If you don’t, you’ll lose. There’s not a whole lot of depth to it, and I think that detracts a lot from the experience.

I liked ODST and Reach Firefight better. There was a challenge of Survival, and you had to be tactical and a good shot to survive back then. Additionally, there were maps suited to on-foot combat and some designed to have you do good in Vehicles. You had to use teamwork to succeed in a Warthog in ODST and Reach, or you had to work and hijack a covenant vehicle if you wanted to use that in Reach. On foot, you had to be smart with your positioning and careful with your ammo. You also needed to use a variety of weapons, as your starting loadouts wouldn’t last forever. Halo 5 removes all of this depth and doesn’t really add anything special to make up for it. Again, it’s just spawn a Scorpion, Wraith, or Ultra Ghost/Banshee and pour unlimited shots into the enemies and do it fast enough.

Heroic is the best if searching solo. Legendary is irritating especially since the enemies take a long time to kill while simultaneously being able to kill you across the map with perfect accuracy in a couple seconds, and in boss-fights, your random teammates usually don’t all have the skill necessary to succeed with the objectives in time. If you’re with a team, Legendary or Mythic are a decent challenge.

My best memory was my first game on Apex 7 in the last round where you fight a Phantom and then the Tankmaster.

It can be entertaining for a short while but I get bored of it pretty fast.

> How would you rate it 1 to 10?

~ 6.5

To be honest I kind of like it (WZFF) more than Warzone or Warzone Assault.

> Did you like it better than classic Firefight?

By classic I assume you mean ODST Firefight over Reach Firefight. There were differences.

I think I would say I like WZFF better, but to be fair they’re all a little different and I like the fact that WZFF is as different from the others as it is. It also plays fairly well with the implementation of the REQ system minus the fact that REQ Power Weapons are criminally under-powered per their cost compared to vehicle costs within it. But I wonder how a classic version would have played with the REQ system – I suppose it’s possible that it would have been tweaked in order to play even better than the past versions, but we’ll never know.

With that said, I actually wish that Halo 5 rotated the Heroic and Legendary difficulty on a weekly basis and between a more classic Firefight experience (like ODST/Reach) and the current WZFF experience. Having both available during a week would be pretty neat and then I could let the difficulty I was in the mood for direct what version I ended up going into.

> What was your favorite variation of the gamemode: Heroic, Legendary or Mythic?

Heroic; though, when I want more of a challenge I very much appreciate and favor Legendary. I stay away from Mythic because I don’t have a group I play FF with and I’m just not that big of a fan of Firefight.

> Whats your favorite memory of this gamemode?

Throwing myself into the thick of the battle round after round during a Heroic match and doing so with only Loadout weapons plus whatever I find lying around on the ground (because that’s what I mainly do in Heroic) then to be completely surprised at the end of the match to discover I never died. I find that feeling pretty awesome, since I usually end up dying due to all the fairly impossible situations I often put myself into with weak weapons.

> And finally, did you find it fun?

It certainly has its moments, but firing rounds into AI and more so the bullet sponge AI isn’t really my idea of true Halo “fun”. I do appreciate it as a warm-up mode, plus somewhere I can go to earn a decent amount of XP and RP in a timely fashion while not getting all that frustrated, and yet aim for a top finishing score position too. Not to mention, the Heroic mode is a place where I don’t mind giving my controller over to my daughter to play under my account if I need to step away for a bit with the goal of returning in short order – otherwise, she’d simply load up her own account and play.

  • I’d give it a 7.5 / 10. As a social playlist, WZFF is a great way to kill some time while you’re with friends or to warm yourself up for some sweaty matches later on. After playing for a while, the rounds do get a little old. - Since I missed out on the Firefight modes for ODST and Reach, I can’t really give an opinion… :\ - Heroic is hands down the best choice. It’s not too difficult, and you can rack up a ton of XP and RP just by playing a couple of rounds. - I don’t really gave a “greatest memory”, but I guess racking up 140+ kills with a Hannibal Wasp is up there (no pun intended). Going nuts with a Gravity Hammer is a close second. - I do enjoy Firefight a lot, though I won’t play it as much as I used to, and that the grind towards leveling up (to 152) is tedious.
