How did MC get his armor?

Has anyone eless noticed that Master Chief has diffrent armor in Halo 4 than in Halo 3 even though he froze himself in the Halo 3 armor only to be unfrozen in new armor? How does that even work?

343 changed the armor’s design.

MC didn’t switch armor sets or anything.

Canonically, the armour in Halo 4 is the same Mark VI armour from the end of Halo 3. The difference in appearance is nothing more than a difference in artistic design between Bungie and 343.
