How did Linda get the nornfang.

Hello Spartans its the “halo insider” here with another topic. How did Linda get the nornfang. The legendary sniper rifle that poeple would trade any rew just to hold it. But I wad interested in how she got it. I’m not the only one that has wandered this. So I did some fact checking through halo lores and other theorizes. This is what I found. Note: this not completely how she got it but it is based off of halo lore. Mishra armory developed the nornfang for there marksmen team. But there 2 nornfangs 1 a prototype and the other the finished product. The prototype was given to ONI and then it was given to DR. Hasley for Spartan2 program. Hasley then had her most gifted marksman fire the weapon none could shoot it with a accurate shot. But 1 Linda. The sniper was then given to linda and she was alound to make any mods she wanted. After she made these mods ONI took the the moded sniper and tested it and further moded it. Then 20 others were reportly made. These were then given to spartan4’s on infinity for use when the progam was starterd. Linda did receive the weapon back when they went on there first mission as spartans in halo fall of reach. So thats how she got it.

Out of a gold pack I’m guessing or she upgraded it herself.

She waited for the pack during the Month of Mythics

She actually made a deal with 343 and now she only gets Nornfangs out of Bronze Packs. And she made it herself

It is a personal customized weapon. Even though that is against UNSC regulations, that a soldier is to not modify any weapons, I guess being a SII gives you a pass.
And OP, that lore should be screaming false to you. The infinity hadn’t even been thought of when Reach was still standing.

The Nornfang was designed for Misriah’s competitive marksmanship team, but then it went missing, according to this. The simplest explanation is that the UNSC or Linda found it somehow, never reported it to Misriah, and they kept it and had it re-tuned to fit Linda’s preferences. No need to overthink it.

As for Spartan-IVs using it, Warzone and Arena are simulations, meaning they can make as many as they want without actually making any.

Yes the nornfang did go missing. But according to lore it didn’t go missing tell a year after fall of reach and she had the nornfang during fall of reachs events. Also according to lore a member of misriahs shooting team stole the nornfang and sold it to a rival company. That unnamed company than produced watered down versions of it.

I’d like a source on that.

It sounds like fan fiction because I’ve never seen this mentioned on Halopedia, the Nornfang REQ card, or Waypoint’s Universe entries. Haven’t seen anyone talk about it on the forums before either.

Yeah it probably isn’t. But my job is to just give the most logical answer based off the facts. I guess well nevet know.

Doesn’t it say in a book or comic somewhere? I think she upgraded a Sniper herself. Same with Kelly’s Shotgun.

But Fred was just like ‘‘I don’t need to upgrade my weapon, I’ll wait for the REQ pack’’

I guess this means that Chief doesn’t agree with the REQ system since he only has an AR and BR.

Linda got a prototype for the nornfang but after testing it out she added a better scope and a system to have less resoil during shots overal making the ornfang shoot faster and deal out more damage! your welcolme
