At least that’s what it seems like.
Jul has been commanding the movements of the prometheans and it looks as if he was the one that instigated the promethean attack on Infinity. Then when Majestic was about to kill him in Ep. 9 of SO, he screamed “prometheans protect me” and then two knights come to his aid. How do you think he rose to such power?
I think the didact gave him this power, Hell I think in episode 10 we could see the didact since, jul and halsey teleported somewhere, and since jul has part of the key I think the didact might come in to play once more, Why? I think Hiding/ healing until the key was found,
He follows the Didact and the Didact lets him because he hates humans. As “The Didact’s Hand” he has power over the Didact’s Prometheans as well.
There either must have been some piece of technology that mimics the Didact’s instructions, or the Didact transferred temporary power to Jul, and was never able to get it back.
Man, I wish we’d seen some Jul-Didact dialogue. Would’ve been awesome. Jul must have really impressed the Didact if he considered such a “beast” worthy of commanding his forces.
But who knows. Hopefully he’ll live through to Halo 5 and we’ll actually see some interaction.
As the Didact’s Hand, Jul has some authority over the Promethean forces.
