How did Cortana change MC's armor??

You know Cortana has no hands. She had to have used the cyro tube, unless she used a robot to take Master Chief out and undress him while he was sleeping.

Do cyro tubes have special little machines in them along with extra scrap metal or something?

I heard something about nanotechnology mentioned somewhere.

Anyway, I’m sure we’ll find out in the next fifty four days… :stuck_out_tongue:

Space Magic!

She changed it using nano-bots is the official explanation.

Magic.

Though where the nanobots came from is a different story…never been mentioned before except for Mk.VII

Don’t get me started. It’s such a bad explanation for something that didn’t need explaining to begin with.

I was under the impression nano bots were denied to be the reason for his armor change. Instead, they did it “just because” like they have done with the FuD.

She hack, so he was able to unlock all armours before we do.

How about we just say because of 'Artistic Liberties."

Guys. just stop talking about it. They could do pretty much anything and say it is canon because we do not know ever feature of the Mjolnir armor! Maybe there are nanobots in the armor! We also don’t know the insides of a UNSC ship! Maybe there are robots that can change his armor! Who knows!

It’s the same armor. 343 just made it look a bit different - took a shot of their own at designing Mark VI armor.

She got him drunk.

one thing I dont understand is, if the suit has nanotech in it, or cortana changed it with nanotech outside the suit, why the hell didnt the giant scratch on his chest plate get fixed in either of the situations?

It’s a business decision dressed up as artistic license dressed up as a canonical element.

343i redesigned the Chief to sell more copies of H4 and then came up with a flimsy backstory as an afterthought.

“Wow the new Chief looks cool, why is his armor different from H3?”
“Um… nanobots?”

> It’s the same armor. 343 just made it look a bit different - took a shot of their own at designing Mark VI armor.

Actually, it is nanobots. The proof being that the classic Mark VI is available in multiplayer, but not the Chief’s “Cortana’s special” variant.

It was mentioned somewhere in a interview with Frankie.

They’re saying that nanobots upgraded his armor. Really I don’t think his new look needs an explanation.

 1. In Campaign, players take the role of the Master Chief, the living legend of the Covenant War, a SPARTAN-II super-soldier wearing heavily modified GEN1 Mjolnir armor.

This confirms his Armor has been modified.

 1. [I noticed that the Mark VI armor for Multiplayer is not the same armor that the Chief dons in Halo 4. What type of armor is the Chief wearing then? -One One Seven

Very fancy, very custom, very unique “Cortana special” armor.](http://blogs.halo.xbox.com/Headlines/post/2012/09/05/The-Halo-Bulletin-9512.aspx)

This confirms the armor is customized by Cortana

 1. “Nanobots making repairs to Chief’s armor.”

This confirms Chief’s armor interacts with Nanobots

 1. “Slop is military slang for Nanoreagent Hydrocarbots - a suspension of nanomachines that renders nearly all carbon heavy matter into usable fuel for the UNSC’s ubiquitous internal combustion powerplants.”

This confirms UNSC possess Nanotechnology and had it around the time the Chief’s armor was made.

Now put all of this together and you have your answer: Nanobots were used by Cortana to modify the Chief’s armor while he slept in Cryo for 4 years.

Let’s not forget that the old Mark VI armor is in the game as well which means it exists side by side the Chief’s Mark VI which confirms that it’s not entirely artistic interpretation. The old Mark VI still exists because that’s what his looked like before Cortana changed it.

> one thing I dont understand is, if the suit has nanotech in it, or cortana changed it with nanotech outside the suit, why the hell didnt the giant scratch on his chest plate get fixed in either of the situations?

Its not nano tech its an artistic change just pretend this is what he looked like in the old games.

That’s what I keep seeing as peoples excuses, so I suppose it’s that.
