Honestly? How could you possibly screw this one up? You can already do the proper settings in custom games. You set starting weapon to random and secondary weapon to random. Give everyone 2 frag grenades and use slayer pro settings.
Primary: RANDOM
Secondary: RANDOM
Loadouts: DISABLED
Armor Abilities: DISABLED
Personal Ordinance: DISABLED
Random Ordinance: DISABLED
Weapon Pickup: DISABLED (This way when you run out of ammo you either die or be sneaky)
Infinite Ammo: DISABLED (No one wants other players to have infinite incineration cannon ammo)
Normally I am supportive of 343 but come on! I can put this game type on my file share so that you can learn what Fiesta really is.
They didn’t want to alienate those who primarily played Infinity Slayer. So they allowed custom loadouts, and just changed the ordinance you receive.

So they didn’t want to take away peoples loadouts in a random weapon game? But they were perfectly ok with removing the loadouts in Binary Slayer and Rockets and Rails?
Loadouts shouldn’t be used in Fiesta. The way that 343 implemented Fiesta is stupid especially since they didn’t even have to do anything special to get it to work right.
I think weapon pickup should be on, compleatly agree on the rest though.

Thanks posted it there as well
I like it, a lot. They didn’t “screw it up” just because your opinion disagrees. Now shush.

A lot of people seem to agree with the OP…
I’ve got no problem with it, I like it the way it is.

Have you ever played the correct version of Fiesta? You don’t choose your weapons at all. Sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you are screwed. You can sometimes spawn with only a plasma pistol or a pistol. You never got to decide what weapon you got. That was the fun of it.
The ability to call in an ordinance anytime you do anything is stupid. Fiesta is about using what you got not deciding what is the best to have.

And because this series has never featured an even sandbox its a game about getting screwed up the hind-pipe so hard you could be installed as a major plumbing fixture. I’ve been a long time fan of fiesta (Halo 2 launch just about) but the new Fiesta is a spectacular improvement. You have random weapon selection but from the portion of the sandbox which does more or less act on an even playing field. And you still have everything else in the loadouts except for the concussion rifle and sticky detonator (which is probably the only weak area in the gametype) acting as your own personal default if the weapon drop gives you three power ups as the worst case scenario. And as that it’s a huge step up from what we had before. The floor’s been raised and the ceiling is still just as high as it ever was.
In short, it’s a hell of a lot more functional and after all these long years of Fiesta grinding itself to death, its fun. I know it’s different but you kids really need to stop letting that be a hang up for you. No, it’s not what Fiesta is “supposed” to be. Instead, it’s good.

It’s functional to you…not to the rest. But no it’s not what Fiesta is supposed to be, It’s Power Slayer 2.0
People will complain to complain it looks like. Why does it matter what loadout you start with? There’s no way you’re ever actually going to be using that weapon. Get over it.
Is it exactly the same as it used to be? No, but I think it’s fine the way it is. You still get a random weapon, and if you don’t like the weapon it’s really easy just to find one on the map.

Considering the numbers in fiesta out do infinity slayer, i say more disagree with you and the complainers.
yea i dont uderstand that either how hard is it to make a proper fiesta where everything is random thats what fiesta is about

Where are you getting these numbers? Infinity Slayer had way more people playing it than the entire Action Sack playlist when I was on last night.
Binary Slayer is fun. Rockets and Rails is fun. This new “Fiesta” sucks, either everyone has a jetpack and a rocket or is invisible camping.

Fiesta was great to begin with. Fiesta in Halo 2 was how I learned to use uncommon weapons. I have played a real Fiesta game in Halo 4 and it is much more fun than this. Fiesta was never about being on an even playing field. You ran around and tried to get kills and when you died you looked forward to re-spawning.
The method of getting an ordinance drop every time you get any sort of points is ludicrous. It is no longer Random loadouts, it is now build your OP loadout. Infinite ammo is also one of the stupidest things in the world for fiesta. If your loadout has dexterity and a jetpack, if you get an incineration cannon you win.
Ordnance in Fiesta would be fine if not for “build your own loadout which contains jetpack and dexterity”, or the fact that 90% of the time it’s a rocket launcher, fuel rod cannon or incineration cannon.
Seriously jetpack just completely ruins it. If you don’t have a jetpack equipped you are helpless against those that do. Giving the Incineration Cannon a faster firing rate via dexterity doesn’t help matters either.
