How could reach have done better?

Now let me start off by saying i am not hating on reach, in fact i love reach.
But, there was room for improvement.
Here’s one thing that i think would have made the level “Exodus” better.

Ok so you know that part of exodus when your in that one building and you ativate the elevator? (Right around here) Well i think it would have been more interesting if while your running up to the elevator, one of the cruisers above the city shoots a plasma blast(or what ever there called) and it hits the skylight in that building, therefor leaving a huge gaping hole in the roof of that building.
Then, when the phantoms would normally come and drop off troops out side, one phantom doesnt drop the troops off outside and instead flies through the hole in the roof, dropping the troops off inside the building.

I just think that would be freaking awsome!

(I know that 343 cant change it, and i am in no way asking them to)
So how do you think reach could have done better?

The developers could have used common sense while working on multiplayer.

Honestly, the TU changes would have made Reach so much better from the beginning…

I agree that they do not belong in an halo game, but they have already had a million threads composed only for them.

This thread is for the little things that would have made it better.

Because joking about -Yoink!- is totally cool, bro… [/sarcasm]

Umm, those are actually the biggest reasons Reach wasn’t well received with Hardcore Halo fans. Asking us to not talk about those things is like asking a history Teacher to talk about the civil war without talking about sectionalism and views on slavery.

They could have made it better by going the CoD route and making it a glorified $60 map pack for Halo 3.

Because, obviously, all change is bad.

No bad change is bad.

They should’ve made the AR able to kill things. I don’t want to be wasting a whole clip and a half.

I disagree with this opinion. In my opinion, I find that I have a hard time maintaining games and even playing due to the TU. While it says everything is in green on my end, I find myself being kicked out of games more and being banned more.

To be honest, I’ve just hung up my Halo fandom. It was good for the first two games, then Halo just died for me on the third and so on. It had so much potential, but that potential went to waste.

I’m not a fan of Halo anymore, I use Halo just to waste time now instead of having fun. That’s all I can do seeing as I spend more time being banned due to “network complications”. A funny thing is that I can keep games in Gears, Call of Duty 2, Fable, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood and all my other games that have 360 multiplayer. Halo Reach as well as Anniversary are the only games that I have a hard time actually playing or even trying to play.

Ammo regeneration, as a player trait that we could enable in Hills or Havens. You’d literally see your ammo count go up on your HUD, bullet by bullet. Ammo decay would have been similarly interesting – especially if we can set the rates for both.

On a related note, Shield Decay would’ve been lovely to see return – especially if we could set it so that you can actually drop dead from decay. It’d make for some interesting Safe Havens variants…

And those of us who have been paying attention to all the sequels have seen people say every single change to Halo is bad.

I remember when people were -Yoinking!- about hijacking vehicles and melee weapons in Halo. So again. All change is bad.

Bungie member 1: So, what else should we make to fit in with the new ‘in’ thing called random?

My opinion: Y’mean ‘Stupid’?

Bungie member 2: I know! Make it lag alot! Then, its gonna be so random both in game and in the reach society, we’re gonna be cool!

Bungie Member 1: trollololololol~

Srsly though, it lags a lot and I find that a bit dumb. Would you play a game where you cannot aim, move and focus? Sigh
