How come you can only go up one rank at a time after doing your placement matches in halo 5?
cause it takes a certain amount of wins to go up each rank. Makes you want to keep winning and playing well
yea but if you play with a friend who is low ranked in a playlist and he beats high ranked he should level up faster. Im onyx in slayer and team arena and my little brother got platinum after his placement matches. He was ontop of the team against onyx and high diamonds yet his plat didnt go up.

no cause its not based on individual performance. Individual performance only occurs during your placement matches otherwise its purely based on your wins as it should be. If you dont win, you should not go up. Plus why should a lower rank get more CSR points if they are possibly carried in a match? they shouldnt. Obviously your brother did not get carried but that means nothing in the overall scope of things. He should not get more exp then others even if hes a lower rank, no special treatment in any situation.

no he has to earn his ranks by winning the required amount, just like everyone else. We all have been placed in lower ranks do to a bad game or two, instead of hoping to skip ranks, just do the work and earn it again.
Maybe it could still rank us up quickly for 10 games afterwards…
i mean all it does is it makes your K/d rise and makes it not fun for lower levels
Completely agree if your on a streak and beasting it you should get a bump like in halo 3.

booster love that you can only go one rank up at a time because it makes their booster tags even better by staying at such a low level.
Its even stupid in ffa. Got placed plat 4 in ffa. Think it took around 40 matches to get to onyx. My season high is now onyx 1663. Was ranked plat 1 seaaon 1 and got onyx eventually. Point is the placement system is broken and if the system could give you the chance to rank up faster to correct for the fact it frequently places people too low i would be very happy.
In short i definitely believe you should be allowed to rank up faster after your placement matches particularly if on a winning streak. Some folks do not get many games a season and its not fair to them if they get placed poorly by a diabolical placement system and then have to play 50 odd games to get to the right rank when they can only manage 20. If the placement system worked then i would think differently, but it just doesnt work full stop.
You should be able to go up 2 or 3 at a time beating higher levels.
