9 years to get the TV show up and running, 6 years to get infinite off the ground and nothing to promote one or the other??
No armour cores, promotional items, hell even an emblem??

Season 1 is currently on life support, to keep things simple. All events and modes so far were and are premeditated, and the only out-of-pocket changes were the ones involving the store. That, and the decision to create additional playlists after widespread backlash.

But that’s the point, why wasn’t cross promotion with the show done? Its not like they surprised dropped the tv series on the world. There was more than enough Opportunity to premeditate that kind of thing.

Possibly they couldn’t predict when the game or TV show was going to come out. So didn’t plan for this.
Judging by the amount of armour cores they have it seems like it’s a big investment and maybe they have to do a lot of work getting this stuff to work under the hood. So they can’t easily make promotional material when there’s uncertainty and probably didn’t want to risk breaking their game over it.
But yes it’s weird. Some of the show armour will probably make it in eventually. I think it was Season 2 they would have teased this at the shows release. So nothing on front.
It’s a very bad sign for either how snowed under they are or how difficult the game is to work with and develop.

Lol 343 barely got the game out the door as is and is absolutely SCRAMBLING just to pad out the content for season 2. You think they’d be capable of adding MORE content for cross promotion foe the tv show? You’re crazy. I mean- a competent studio would be able to do that but we all know we are talking about 343 here

It would be classy of 343 to come out and address it. Something along the lines of
“we’re not happy with the state of the game and we know you arent either. And for that reason we can’t in good conscience promote infinite on other media until it meets our customers expectation”
All while we’re getting halo wolverine boots promotions … So I’m not holding my breath.

There is special punch card for Microsoft rewards based on the show, but it only last until March 31.
I can see content coming out mid show season, or even after the first season. Not sure what armor core they would add any content to. Honestly any content would be cool, but if there happens to be NONE with all the other promotions that have existed, I will be disappointed. However, the thought of crossover content is super exciting. I want there to be a mix of event stuff you earn, and of course they will have in store items.

Because “they” don’t care. And by “They”, I mean the people making the decisions at 343, as I don’t want to lump the actual passionate devs at the studio who suffer from these decisions just as much as the players do.
The top Echelon and management at Bungie loved Halo. It was “their” game.
I’m sure there are some people at 343i that are very passionate about Halo, heck, maybe even MOST are.
But the ones making the decisions for 343i are soulless husks of human beings that don’t have the cognition or awareness to understand a franchise they don’t love.

343i has the same problem the Russian army does.
They use their Contractors like Conscripts.
The top management ( generals ) live like Kings on the backs of the studio’s artists, programmers and game designers, while hindering the actual game development.
And in the end they fail because they don’t understand the nature of the task at hand, and made bad decisions.
343i has th raw talent. They have some of the BEST artists in the industry. It just doesn’t have talented or intellectually sound [ leadership ] in enough places to make a difference

One of the punch items is “Play Halo Infinite and earn any achievement…to complete this offer.” Initially I couldn’t complete that punch because I already had all the available achievements but after a few hours (and probably a few hundred complaints) it quietly got checked off in the background.
I was wondering about that. Luckily I’m weird and initially completed the campaign without upgrading my shield core to test the difficulty, so I was able to just fully upgrade it and get the achievement.
Did… Did you mean Depth?

A huge missed opportunity.
If they were really involved in the creative process of the game, as the TV show credits them for- then they have known about the show for a long time and had a massive opportunity to cross promote the show within the game.
But it’s 343i we’re talking about here… are you seriously surprised they missed an opportunity here…
Stop talking and buy the cat ears
The same armor design for The Silver Team exists in that book in the Art of Halo Infinite.
I think 343 will launch relevant content.

You would think so since the armour is literally based off of campaign armour, so it’s not like they would have to make a whole new model. 343 has a bad habit of not letting us be Chief in multiplayer .
