They just fixed it last update, how did this one mess it up so bad again?
I just failed to load map and auto boot before game starts… these things are still happening, gonna anger lots at higher lvl.
I’ve been playing constantly since the update and every game has started Even. The only time it wasn’t even is because someone quit or got booted.
At least you can get online and play - the new update crashes me to desktop/homescreen while waiting for players.
At least the game does something while Im in the lobby instead of sit there forever.
How do I tell if the game is updated? And if it isn’t, how do I update it?

Lol
I can’t believe people still expect 343 to have the ability to fix this game. I haven’t played in months, logged on here to see if they were able to recover or salvage anything. Clearly the answer is no, they can’t implement what has been implemented in every game since 2008, and in many games since 2004. Halo 5 will be the same way. Unbelievable

This makes no sense whatsoever, What do you mean by “They can’t implement what has been implemented in every game since 2008, and in many games since 2004?” And did you even play the Halo 5 beta? It worked near flawlessly.

The beta worked better, but my friends and I consistently had issues with getting stuck in a never ending search. We eventually figured out how to spot that was the case, and had to go through a ridiculous routine of leaving the game from the party chat menu in order for it to kick us out (when this happened there was no option to back out, so only other option was to restart game). I understand it was a beta, but the UI should work properly in a beta - the point is to test the gameplay, not if the menus function as intended.
I write software for my lab and code things the right way as best as I can. However, I have seen plenty of code from people with PhDs that may get the job done to some degree, but cuts many corners, making the code not maintainable. It’s just speculation, but I could see this habit being rampant at 343 if they are always rushing to meet deadlines.

True, I ran into a few bugs in the beta myself. Which is why I said near flawlessly and not one-hundred percent perfectly. Thanks for the well thought out post though, and not turning this into a hate argument that has happened a few times in the past.
