how come energy weapons weeken your shields

Why do energy weapons weaken your shields instead of making the stronger? Why doesn’t your shields just absorbed the energy and give the shields more power?

Not a scientist. But I think its because they are two different types of energy maybe? I think… Um…

Yeah it might also be that it disrupts the flow of electrons in the shields but I am not sure. I might end up talking that question to 343 industries.

energy weapons fire super heated plasma your shield deflects and cools it causing it to use energy it cant absorb it because its not a state of energy that can be absorbed that quickly.

The only thing relative that I could think of, is that the charged up energy pistol emits an EMP burst when you fire it. Upon contact with electronics(shield) or whatever, it causes it to disperse momentarily until it can recharge again.

True but I am talking like all energy weapons, dose each blast carry a slight emp change?

Energy weapons like the plasma pistol fire an EMP shot when charged up.That shot disrups the flow of energy from wherever the shields on a Spartan get their power. Follow me on instagram @Pr0diiG

I get why that work , but why does it bring it down when it is not changed up

if you’re meaning covenant plasma weapons, particles in plasma move so fast that when they hit, they shatter. So when they hit the ionized plasma particles hit the de-ionized energy shields, the energy shield particles don’t just shatter, they disintegrate. So that’s also a reason why covenant weapons take down shields so easily. not all forms of matter shatter when their particles hit, though. When heat is added to an object, particles move faster. so solid particles vibrate in place since they aren’t moving fast enough to escape any of their attraction. liquid particles escaped a bit of their attraction, so they slide along one another. gas particles escaped a lot of their attraction, so they bounce off one another.
