How Classic And Enhanced Mobility Could Co-Exist

Someone made a good point that all classic fans do is, complain about modern Halo mechanics while not offering any solutions or ideas, as to how Halo could be fresh and new without those mechanics. So with this post im going to make an effort to list some ideas of how that could be done with sandbox innovation.
:black_small_square:(Map interactions and shifts).
Imagine having maps that shifts into different variants of the same map at different times during a match. Similar to how the environment changes in The Hunger Games movie. If your team gains map control to access a button or terminal, that’ll activate a quick map shift, each time the map shifts it brings out different power weapons and pick ups.
Imagine having areas on a map where you can activate AI turrets or smoke screens during certain gametypes. Or being able to shoot down different parts of the map turning them into terrain.
Imagine having buttons on different parts of a map, that blocks off certain sections of the map when activated.
Imagine being able to activate certain weather effects/actions on a map, like maybe throwing a grenade at a cloud and activating a lighting strike over where it was hovering. All the different weather effects having rain and snow storms, etc. The possibilities there along with the map shifts could be endless.
Imagine the skill gap that would bring into the game learning to time the map switch and learning certain maps switch routine. Setting up for the switch to gain map control. Or having a switch after a tied match, going into sudden death, maybe giving everyone damage boost, with one life to settle the score.
:black_small_square:(Additions to maps and pick ups that could replace sprint and some abilities).
Imagine having different areas on a map (hallways, bases, etc) that lets you zip around with increased speed. Strafing fights would be intense in those areas and or just used to get to another place on the map quicker.
Imagine if you picked up enough speed in those areas, allowing you to melee someone with the same force as a shoulder charge without the animation.
Imagine having areas on a map that alters gravity letting you hover similar to the way a jet pack would. These areas could shift around along with mapshifts.
Imagine having a boost or anti gravity grenade. Using those could either help you get on to high places on the map, by throwing them at your feet, or you could use them during gun fights to throw off your opponents.
Imagine having a different covenant grenade that splatters plasma and slows people down that step on it. Throwing one of those could make fights interesting in speed areas.
Having all this could let matches feel like they evolve and change as the match goes on. And imagine having all of this in the forge arsonal, what that community would create with these options would literally be limitless.
These are just some ideas that could make classic Halo gameplay new and fresh, while supplementing some of the things, that newer Halo fans liked from modern Halo mechanics. These could suck or they could work great. The point im trying to make is change and evolution can be made without changing Halos core formula.
Classic Halo can be new and fresh just by adding and innovating the sandbox. These in my opinion sound a lot more interesting, than just tacking on generic player mechanics (sprint, thruster packs, shoulder charge, etc.), Halo can’t go another title with a split community again. A Halo game that brings everyone together the same way the original trilogy did is what we need. Let me know what you think or whatever ideas you may have as well.

In before the lock

Although I don’t blame people for making a new thread, when ever a compromise is suggested the same 3-5 people in the no sprint at all crowd will start to pop up pile on that thread. Seriously I am not that keen on how the megathreads are managed.

So everything about movement and the classic vs advanced debate is in a thread in this forum. To add more confusion asking about playable elites is not allowed in this forum as there is one thread from H4 that has been pulled into the H5 thread and it is now too big to move here (also applies to brutes, and anything that is not a spartan).

So no new threads on those topics are to be here as that will result in the mods locking it.

Oh wow that is confusing. Thanks for letting me know!

The classic vs. advanced movement discussion is this way.
