These aren’t bad scores, I don’t see why everyone is complaining.
To answer your question directly: Not reading the credits is completely besides the point of playing game and reviewing it based on actual experience.

Agreed, it sucks that these sketchy reviews from sites no ones heard of get included in the metacritic score. Only site reviews I care about are IGN,gamespot and machinima and they all game it a great score(a 9 is really high for gamespot, they gave skyrim goty and they only gave it a 9) luckily these are the reviews most people will see

I’ve been reading a few Dutch reviews today and its just horrible. Aside from their predetermined anti-Halo attitude, they also just put different names on weapons and such. They don’t know what they’re talking about and give the game about a 8.5.
The ones that do know what they’re talking about give it a 9.0+

In the end, you should still trust your own judgment however.
Considering the way the world works on reviews, if someone wants to put in a review watching only a handful of things because they are multi-taskers, for example, then yes, simple mistakes are going to get made like that. In the end, they aren’t confusing the music for another game, they aren’t messing up the actual gun names for another (on a common basis, as in all guns are mislabeled), so I think it’s fine.
As for the game itself, I’ve never really trusted reviews besides something brand new that I need to have information about…
I know haha it’s true that the only review you should trust is yours.
However I just find it ridiculous that if you read that review, you will see that he says
‘Marty odonnel did a fantastic job on this game and he nailed it like always’ something like that, however everyone else is talking about a different music direction. I don’t know if it’s just me…anyways I don’t really care enough lol.
