343 we need to talk… it is more important than ever to listen and replay, don’t be afraid to take critical criticism and engage the community by going on podcasts with people as simple as youtubers and starting the dialogue. Don’t wait for them to ask you, you ask them.
343 I have faith in you to bring halo back to its former glory and am exited to see where you take the story next, but you must stop catering to an audience that does not exist, that does not care about HALO the same way HALO fans do. We saw you start to take the approach to mimic the modern FPS genra like in halo 4 with the ordnance drops and class customization and even sprint, when you should have been pulling away from that. Seriously look at H2A’s multiplayer, it has been the most fun and the most HALO experience I have had in so long 343. So out with sprint and out with zoom, the classic controls are not broken and they have held up to the test of time, while sprint has proven to work and you guys have made it so seamless and flued it is not what the HALO fans want and it is not what the HALO fans need, sprint does NOT make HALO feel like HALO needs to feel. No more boost and for the love of the profits NO MORE ARMOR ABILITIES! Stick to map pickups like the shield bubble and the health regen just don’t flood the map with them. The multiplayer needs to feel separate from the campaign and you have shown you can do that perfectly with the elimination mode from halo 5, But don’t base the maps off of UNSC inspired arenas stick true to the alienation that maps like ascension and sanctuary. Even in the heat of combat just seeing the forunner structures makes you feel mystified and curious as to where you are and what is going on in the broad spectrum, but than you Remember you’re fighting fellow Spartans with a mix if elites and you check the scoreboard, your team is loosing than you remember where energy sword is located on the map and you rush to it taking down some kids along the way making them rage quit than you get the energy sword and wipe the enemy team three fold nd win your team the match! You scream into your mic on the loading our scoreboard and your teammate reminds you “ good -Yoink- man but it’s just a game tone it down a notch bro “ you want to say something but it’s too late you’re finding yourself in a loading menu and the cycle continues…
I don’t think there is much we can do. Just hope there are quality humble nerds in 343 with the good ol’ passion for making a game that’s fun to play, with enemies that are fun to play against.
They should open up an official Suggestion/Wishlist thread on waypoint where 343i could look at all of our ideas. Or just go through the existing forums if they don’t already do that undercoverly… looks suspiciously at imaginary camera pretending it’s a 343i employee

there already is, its called the FORUMS… but you pretty much already said that
The best way to help them is to give them feedback. And even THEN it’s up to them because they decided whether to listen to it or not

This 1000x. But make sure it’s constructive and not -Yoinking!-.

well they are listening as a return to a more classic artstyle, focus on chief and splitscreen returning is a start

True and I agree on those aspects if they come to fulfillment, but they are still going to shove microtransactions down our throats. I’m sorry but there are plenty of successful AAA titles that don’t need to do that, the fact 343 continues too says a lot about what they want the franchise to be.

Our support and voice is what will make change, there is a lot we can still do to make halo Infinite the best halo game it can possibly be. Thank you for supporting the conversation and posting please help us get this conversation to be a direct dialogue with 343.
343 we need to talk… I have full faith in your teams abilities to make halo, but many others do not share my opinion, I like your ideas of bringing in cool cosmetics like the weapon and armor skins as seen in halo 4 and 5 but it has been obvious that with the chance in pase, tone, and texture in your tech demonstration that you are looking to make major steps in your jury. While you see weapon and armor textures being positively received in games like destiny and in call of duty what with their custom weapon skin shops this is not the approach you should take. The right way to do custom weapon and armor skins is to make it so that you have an individual place to go to paint your armor to make it meaningful to paint the things you do. Don’t take the approach of destiny and call of duty where you can change your characters visual looks between matches, and in matches. Make it so that you have to go out of your way to paint your guns/armor, many or don’t agree with this because they like the accessibility of being able to change their look on the fly. But let me ask people who hold this view, what meaningful value does being able to make your armor look however you want whenever you want it? If you have to go out of your way to change these options you are going to spend more time making your armor/weapon skins look perfect and exactly how you want it. Weapon/armor skin shearing should NOT be an option. This devalues your custom skins, you should feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when making your skins. If you make the perfect skin for you and you share it to have millions of people download it and you see it being used in multiplayer against you the skin suddenly becomes something you no longer have positive attachment too.
As a little side note 343, by doing this it can be a great way to get more people interested in the community, here’s an example. Blue sees a custom armor skin they want, so he goes off and makes his own version. Than red sees blues armor and he wants it, so red asks blue how he made it and blue decides to go and make a YouTube video on how to make it and than suddenly you have mass interest in making custom skins bringing the community to a point where they are talking and helping each other. Now my problem with all of this means that custom classes will have to come back in order to make it possible for you to use your weapon skins. I think that you can do both classic and modern style of multiplayer where in one game mode you have the old style of halo multiplayer where the weapons are all placed on the map and everyone starts with the same guns, and another mode where custom classes are implemented and you have the same class across all maps. Thank you for your time 343 and help us help you guys.

Feedback on what you like and dont like. At the end of the day, they are the painters painting the art.
I think one thing they could do, and Microsoft, is have polls and surveys. 343I should have some on here, and in there current games (TMCC, Halo 5) Ask there fan base questions and such. Microsoft could advertise these things on live so people know that they can make there voices heard in the Halo games and/or on Waypoint.
they shouldn’t take polls and surveys as gospel either mind you but at least it can give them a little bit of an idea of some things they like don’t like Etc.
For example, I would have something (maybe on waypoint for etc.) where people can list their top 3 things they want and don’t want in the next Halo game. Things like this.
At the moment there isn’t much we can do other than post stuff in the forums or maybe @ 343 on twitter or something regarding stuff we want but there’s still no guarntee they’ll see it. personally I think that when ever they are in certain points in development they should send out surveys regarding what they’re working on asking the community what they would like to see in the game or asking how we think something should work. this would probably be the easiest way of figuring out what the community wants.
You can’t. Give up.
Just like many of the users on this forum, I became immersed in the Halo franchise at a young age. Unfortunately, I fall victim, as with many others, to the nostalgia of what Halo once was. I decided to do a little research on 343 in attempt to figure out why they are running Halo into the ground. I seems the problem is Bonnie Ross the women in charge of Halo. Once Bungee parted ways from Microsoft she stayed behind to requesting to head the Halo franchise. However, Bonnie wanted to do things different, just take a look the statement below she made upon taking over Halo.
“The thing I asked for was: If I take it over, I want to be George Lucas. I want to own everything, and I want to do things differently.” - Bonnie Ross
From the start she ignorantly believed that she could do better, so it should be no surprise that she is oblivious to what made Halo great in the first place. Squeezing her ideological SJW content into Halo seems to be more a priority than testing games before releasing these half finished games to the public. She’s pushing for more female developers too because she thinks too many males are in gaming… so don’t be surprised when the forced diversity hiring yields a game on the level of Combat Evolved mixed in with 343’s incompetency. It’s every business’s dream for their most loyal Consumer’s to reach out the them instead of them having to conduct expensive market research.
I think it’s important for people to realize that 343 is merely riding on the coattails of Bungie’s success and in actuality hasn’t accomplished anything other than disappointment. Without a doubt they monitor activity on this forum and it’s almost like after reading the feedback they intentionally decided to go in the opposite direction.
I believe the best way that we can help 343 as stated before is by feedback & beta testing.
