I don’t understand how this game can actually be played for serious money online? Only ppl who live in central USA will make money as far as I’m concerned. I feel really bad for ppl who may actually be some of the best on the planet but no one will ever know, no not myself, legit with the issues this game has with fair play online, it should be the last game played for money. This game is a hobby game. I actually can’t believe how rigged the system is to the western and central United States. I also feel bad for ppl who compete that live too far away. That really sucks for you guys/gals.
What do you think? Is this game the circus act when it comes to playing for money? It’s very random and biased online
I take it you haven’t heard of people like Mint Blitz, who resides in Australia. Numerous top Halo streamers/ranked players are outside the US. The US just has the largest population of players so more professional and top players will be here.

I can’t help remember that infamous rocket launcher miss last year at HCS, and that was on LAN.

That isn’t good when money is on the line. I actually had that happen a night or 2 ago where I guy ate a rocket to his feet directly and was fine too. I can’t say that I’ve ever heard such issues with other games playing for money online, not to mention the fact that people on the same continent have such a heavily favoured advantage on location to the west or central USA. If your in New York and are as good as the person you play in Texas you lose 100% of the time based on servers connection. That’s where this game has died
Yeah with the shots not registering, warping around the map, mysterious time lapses, spawning next to an enemy team of four, melees not counting, getting killed by weapons in one shot that don’t have one shot kill capabilities ,and everything else we see there’s no way in hell I would ever play this game for money. I like it but yeah not a good investment

This is why I don’t understand why fixing it isn’t priority number one, and knowing is competitive following wouldn’t it have been priority one from the start? How can they retain casual players when all these things don’t casually register? They shot themselves in the foot

I feel like they can retain casual players but that’s all this game should have because the game is so imperfect it can’t be taken that seriously. i play knowing full well that’s certain things about this game is a mess but try to have fun with it anyhow. I’ve been playing BtB more lately and it’s just a circus but it’s fun. I’ve played very little ranked because the ranking system is not real friendly to my blood pressure and honestly it’s unfair … think 2 v 4, 3 v 4 matches and just a junk show.
This game just has to be played for fun and taken at face value but not suitable for competitive/ playing for money since skill can be secondary to game issues that could cause better players to lose due to outside factors (lag, poor servers, just messed up games and modes). i only complain about stuff because I like halo and want it to succeed.
