How can this be fair...?

Okay basically… Playing Team doubles on Landfill, score being 40-60. All of a sudden, the opposing team starts committing suicide as they spawn.
Because the map is a relatively large map with many spawns inside, it was impossible to kill them before they committed suicide.
The opposing team’s score didn’t go down, and therefore, resulted in them winning… How exactly is that a fair way to level up your CSR?

Their teams total death was 62… yet we lost…?

lol Halo 3 doubles all over again

> lol Halo 3 doubles all over again

Surely after a player commits suicide more than say twice… their score should start going down?

What made it worse was it was Slayer Pro!!

You should report them, if they keep doing that and people keep reporting they will get banned.

> You should report them, if they keep doing that and people keep reporting they will get banned.

Does anyone realistically get banned for being as petty as this?

Absolutely.

I agree. No one gets banned for stuff like that.

It’s not fair. I still don’t know why suicides don’t count against you. It’s pretty dumb.

Also, I’ve found out from Customs that suicides give you ±5. They couldn’t just say -5?

Not very petty IMO they are kind of boosting Victorys that way so yes if enough people reports them they should get banned.

I agree! Especially with Slayer Pro! This suicide thing should be incorporated into the daily ban system!

That’s actually a really good idea. Then the Banhammer would actually be useful instead of banning people when they leave a join-in progress session.

Here you go 343! Make an update which actually benefits people and may make Halo even remotely better!

Welcome to Halo 4 and all its vast improvements

The removal of suicide penalty was to counter the following situation.
-When you had the stoopid teammate that spent the entire game committing suicide. (I know this from experience)

This is both hilarious and ridiculously frustrating at the same time. You cant ban somebody for this though, theyre playing by the rules. Its that the rules actually allow this kind of play that is so stupid.

I think doing the opposite of what somebody suggested above would work well so that you prevent those suicidal teammates who want to trash the team as well as stopping these kinds of tactics.

Count the first 3-5 suicides per player as -1 kill but have it stop counting after that. This way the players who wanna suicide for -25 kills wont be able to hurt more than 3-5 kills, and the players who want to use this horrible tactic will have to be ahead by atleast 6 kills, which would indicate that they probably can win the game without doing this in the first place.

Pitiful and obsessive behavior like this is why 343I was reluctant to include a ranking system to begin with.

Why is it so hard for some people to grasp the concept of “If you don’t deserve a high rank with your current skill, you simply don’t deserve a high rank with your current skill”. Why do they feel the need to cheat to gain some number that is rendered meaningless by their cheating?

Because numbers are more important than having a good time playing halo… Sad…

Lol it might be mean of me to say this but those two guys outwitted OP.It’s cheap no question about it but they did win. That was not really boosting or cheating, it was just being smart in that situation. Why beat them normally when you can win with a laugh at the end.

As i have said i agree it was cheap but i respect it nonetheless. It is no different than forcing spawns and destroying the enemy team. They didn’t cheat or boost but simply used a cheap tactic to win, that’s all.So really if you reported them for it, you essentially abused the report feature because the game didn’t play how you wanted it to.

Still, that is hilarious and would of made a funny vid haha.It seems OP simply played against guys who played smarter not harder.

+1

I am a pretty bad player and I can´t understand this behaviour at all. I really don´t want to rank up higher than my skills, because that will only lead to games where I will loose and get humiliated. I want to play against people at my skill level.

That’s exactly what we want to see… MLG tournaments where the winning team kills themselves for 15 minutes! That would make a hell of a show…
