I never get to play the maps I paid money for. No one plays squad dlc and whenever I find them in a normal playlist, (which is rare), they don’t get voted. How can this issue be resolved?
i know how you feel, i play BTB and slayer mostly and very rarely see any DLC pop up and when they do no one votes for them. i am bored of playing on hemmorhage, paradiso, boneyard and spire i just wanna play on the DlC now and then.
the only way i have found to play on other maps is to play squad DLC.
if someone could find a way of letting us play DLC more often then please do it!!!
One dollar for each of the map packs (excluding Anniversary). After the release of Halo 4, they will be worthless to MS, if they do this now, it should spark a selling spree that will attract more players and it will allow those with it to play them.

It can’t.
The only ways for this problem to be avoided in the future is for the maps to be so popular that the vast majority buys them, or for 343 to do away with paid map DLC.
I doubt either are going to happen for H4.
Well, all of the DLC map packs for Reach are 50% off starting yesterday until I think next week. So convince your friends who were skeptical before to buy them now.
But they should just make at least Noble or Defiant free, and charge 50% for the others. This would increase the amount of people who have DLC and would alleviate some of frustration about not playing on DLC maps.

The best way to resolve this is by permanently reducing the DLC to 400pts. It’s clearly obvious that a vast majority of players do not want to pay 800pts for 3 maps. At least by keeping the price low this can help encourage other to buy them. I didn’t buy them until they went on sale yesterday.
The more that own the maps, the better the chances those maps will be selected.
Release Noble for Free. It has something for everyone.
Worth noting that not even the legendary and mythic 1 and 2 packs for halo 3 are free yet. Misers…
This would have been problematic in Halo 3 too were it not for loads of dlc required lists (which screw over original purchasers). I believe there are significant problems with the entire model of paid map packs tbh, this is one of them.
It seems like giving away the first 3 packs of 3 maps for free if you purchase Halo 4 limited edition is a direct attempt to alleviate this problem, assuming lots of people get the LE which they should cos its -Yoink!-.
Going in with a full party of friends is a good way to sway voting.
