I have been temporarily banned from earning credits in Halo Reach. I am not sure why. But even so, it’s been this way for awhile and I do not know how to get unbanned. Everything I have read says it will drop off after a certain amount of time but this has not happened.
Please help!

How long has it been?
This is my son’s account. It has been this way for at least a month. Everything I have read leads me to believe it should have dropped off. My guess is he got banned from shutting things down in the middle of play or when our internet just goes out.

Looking at the game history for the account, there are a few zero-kill games on his record, which the ban system looks at as AFK games.
Depending on the accounts previous ban record depends on how long the next ban is. If I recall correctly, the ban lengths are something like this:
1 Day
2 Day
1 Week
2 Week
1 Month
It’s hard to say really how long your sons ban will be there without having an actual date when he received it.
Is it possible to request it be unbanned? for my sake???

Bans aren’t handed out by a person and they can’t be reversed. If the system detects a possible AFK player then a credit ban is handed out automatically like clockwork. I had one recently in fact.

Well it’s only been a day. Do you know the exact time you received the ban?
I don’t see how that’s fair when people have a life outside of Xbox and your parents ask you to do something that takes a few minutes now I’m banned it doesn’t say how long but I don’t wanna get banned for that happening then if you quit a match then you get banned there too it’s not fair
my son and I just got credit banned for absolutely no reason at all and we never once one single time gave reason …we were checking out a new map we just downloaded…well he was. I was making dinner while he checked it out. We by no means have ever tried credit cheating …please reinstate right away

Good evening.
You and/or your son were credit banned for AFKing/AFcing, meaning Away from Controller. I looked through your game history and you have a handful of games where you have 0 kills. Halo: Reach has an automated system programmed in that basically looks for players that have 0 kills and considers them AFKing/AFCing. Repeated instances will cause the banhammer to swing because the automated system thinks that you are just putting your spartan in to earn cR without playing the game and essentially boosting even if that wold not be the case.
Additionally I couldn’t help to notice that in a lot of your games that you did earn kills, you only earned 1-3 kills. If you and/or your son is having a hard time in online matchmaking, may I recommend Firefight for practice? As long as you get one kill in Firefight per online game, you should be fine, and that really isn’t hard to do. Also, you do earn more cR in Firefight, so once your Credit Ban is up, I would recommend to you Firefight, Arcadefight in particular.

Kk I was band about three days ago but it is still saying that my credits can’t be earned and I’m so close to general but it has not warn off pleas help it -Yoink!- me off so much I’ve done 4 challenges already and lost all those credits pleas help.
is their a timer for me to look at till the band is lifted? i shoundn’t be banded from earning cr when atemping to get challenges. ps if there was a way to turn off credits so i can get an achievement or 2 it should have been made a feature to keep from being band whill achievements have nothing to do with it. if it wasnt the cr cap the afc is just an excuse if im seting here the full time ps sometimes, if i don’t get the right map, shound i be banded for 10 minutes? its not the same if the session didn’t start, mirco soft -Yoink- everything, but i have no intress in their competitores, cuz as a company they should show more respawnsiabiltity.

okay & i’m not getting credits the next time a band stricks without warrning & will have to quit reach for good, as i see it the ones that are currtenly in charge are not imunted to the fault of whom ever that desided a full 24 hours than 2 weeks! sounds like something they do after their policies changed. so what if i was online past 6am once!? & did the cap drop to 100k when i wasn’t looking? i don’t remember going over the cap this time. only that my xbox was online past 6am when things are supost to reset, and if some boost but not go over the cap, i say let 'em, their is no excusses for wasting everyones well payed for time!!!
~100,000cr on the 3rd than ~100,000cr on the 4th plus a few cr & i get banded for staying up past 6am when its supost to reset?
it most be something with it just like when it falls to save under bad nat network it juts failes, it didn’t changed the fact i got band haldled twice!
