I’m tired of being stuck at Diamond 3-4. Whenever I get into a game of Breakout, or Slayer, or even SWAT, quite a bit the time I get out-gunned or hit by multiple players, and at that point the w/l ratio keeps me around mid-Diamond ranks.
I don’t want to be diamond. I want to be able to hit and rank Onyx. My aim is decent (but it’s at sensitivity 2), I know a good amount of movement tricks, controller is already Helljumper, and I’ve never been able to get down strafing as a subconscious reaction despite how much I have tried.
What would be needed to be able to rank Onyx often? Would sensitivity help out, or do I need figure out how to get this strafing down?
Pick up a storm rifle or any other automatic. Hold trigger on opponent and GG.
My question to you is, why do you want to be onyx? I did want to “rank up” , then I came to the realization that it is really pointless unless you are going pro.

I like to think that I can be a pretty decent player. My goal, pure and simple, is to improve. I’ve put many, many hours into each Halo and have been playing since Halo 2, so I suppose it’s a sort of a familiarity expectation.
Plus, it’d be much more satisfying if I could save my own, and my team’s, butt more often.
Strafing helps. It’s not necessary to have a high sensitivity because you want to be comfortable. Certainly you can find some Onyx players to play with. I have a few that I occasionally play with on Custom Games and it has helped my skills. Granted I can’t get out of Platinum due to not having a constant team.
Diamond is pretty much the highest a solo player can achieve. If you want to go beyond that, you’re going to have to form a team.

NEGATIVE! This statement right here is just full of it. It is possible to get champ playing by yourself. Believe me I’ve done it on a 2nd account playing on 10 sensitivity.

nope not true at all. You can hit onyx easily solo.
Invite good teammates and opponents after games. Try to form parties of 4s with mics.
Swarm like crazy. Collapse on the other teams spawns.
Play with good teammates to help you
Diamond to onyx isn’t about sensitivity or skill, it’s more about mentality. Check out my youtube videos for advice. Anyone can aim well as a diamind, but your intelligence takes you further.
